The second boss in the “Last Wish” raid is Shuro Chi, the corrupted. This part is more substantial on the mechanical stuff. It has a lot more moving sections to deal with, but after you figure them out, everything will be fine. The chapter will have you filling in spaces in randomized puzzles on the walls and moving through platforms. It has 6 damage phases and 2 puzzle rooms – each with a countdown timer.
Here are some tips, which you will probably need:
• If there is a Warlock with the “Well of radiance”, hide all players inside of the circle and preserve their health during attacks. Be careful, because if two Knights use and stack their fire attacks, the “Well of radiance” cannot heal two consequent waves of attack
• If there is a Titan with “Solar Hammer”, use them to clear out waves of enemies
• If the team is not the desired light level, you are going to face a problem with the countdown timer. However, it is possible to complete with proper planning and communication
Shuro Chi Guide - How To Beat Her?
You begin by opening the door and being flooded by the first wave of enemies. Use some sort of crowd control, either a Super or a grenade, to impede it. At the same time, a 4-minute timer has begun to count down the time. Its name is the “Shuro Chi’s song”, and it shows how much time do you have to clear out the 1st floor. Try focusing on the Taken enemies first. Taken Knights and Thralls will appear, as well as one shielded Knight, called “Eye of Riven”. When you kill this one, a drop is going to drop.
Next, during Shuro Chi’s damage phase, try doing much damage quickly, because she will wipe your whole team out if you do not succeed. You can use the orb’s Super ability to stun her. This way she will have to restart charging it and will give the team more time to deal the necessary amount of damage, to continue onward.
When each wave of enemies has been defeated, you will see 3 crystals around the boss. The message “Shuro’s tempo quickens” will appear on the screen. The timer will then begin to go faster. Take down Shuro Chi’s barrier to stop it. Afterward, choose three players from your team, who will interact with the crystals simultaneously. They should fire to the person on their right, to destroy her barrier. After this is done, do not stand around waiting to take more damage, but start firing at the boss. Since her health is divided into chunks, try to take it down as much as you can each time that the barrier drops down.
The timer will keep counting down as you move on to the next area and deal with the new wave of enemies. At some point, an Ogre is going to appear in the back of the room. First, deal with the Thralls and then with the Ogre. After that encounter, you will reach the next platform to the boss and will have to complete the process once again.
For each floor, there are 2 damage phases. After Shuro Chi moves on, you will go to the first puzzle room. On the floor, you are going to see a 3x3 grid of circular plates with images. They will be the same as the images on the wall. Whether you are facing the image, determines its orientation. On the wall, 4 of the squares are missing, and you must stand on the plates on the floor, to fill in the gaps. Beware, because the plates can hurt you, so avoid standing on top of them for too long. Moreover, you can step onto a plate only once. So if you fall off a plate, you will not be able to get back on it because it will lock you out. Pay attention to team coordination.
Since your team will consist of 6 players, let 4 of them concentrate on the puzzle with the plates, and 2 on fighting off waves of enemies. Each of the four players should call out to their teammates which plate they intend on stepping on. This way, all four can jump onto their plates and land simultaneously. Know your roles well, because you will probably have very little time left on the timer by now. Jump onto the plates and look at the image on the wall. When it becomes full, you can jump off the plates. That would be the time to switch. Remember that you cannot stand on the same platform twice. If you do it right, the platforms, which are above you will come down. When they do, jump on them and move on to the 2nd floor. The countdown timer is going to reset for 4 minutes. During that time, you will have to fight off adds and deal damage to Shuro Chi.
When two damage phases pass, you will have to enter a second puzzle room. It works the same. After it, you will finally be able to go to the 3rd floor.
This is the last floor with the last damage phase. It works just like the previous ones, with the addition of a few more Ogres and Knights. Take advantage of radiance rifts and healing wells here. Deal with two more boss damage phases and you are done. Now you can progress to the next chapter of the “Last Wish” raid.
