Valorant Haven Map Info

Alright, buckle up, folks! We're about to take a trip to one of VALORANT's original maps - Haven. This Bhutan-inspired battleground first made its appearance in the Closed Beta and has been a fan favorite ever since. It's set in the picturesque Thimphu District on Alpha Earth and is located on the sacred grounds of a mountain temple, where radianite poses a significant threat.

Haven is a melting pot of different cultures and styles, drawing inspiration from Bhutan's capital city, Thimphu. This city is known for its breathtaking Buddhist temples and monasteries, with Tashicho Dzong being a particularly famous one. So, if you're a fan of culture, history, and shooting stuff, Haven is the perfect map for you!

Unique Features

Ah, Haven. The map that keeps every VALORANT player on their toes. It's a one-of-a-kind experience, with a third control site that makes it stand out from the rest. This site is where Attackers can plant the spike, and boy, is it a tough one for Defenders. You'd better have your thinking cap on, as securing nearly every part of the map is essential to your success. Get ready for some intense gameplay, because retakes are more common on Haven than on any other map.

But Haven isn't just unique in terms of gameplay. It's also one of the largest maps in the game, with small rooms, courtyards, narrow hallways, corridors, and alleyways that feel like a maze. If you want to avoid getting lost and confused, it's best to study Haven's layout and learn the quickest routes between each area. And if you think you've got it all figured out, Haven will throw a curveball your way just to keep you on your toes. It's like the map is a mischievous prankster, always ready to surprise you. But that's what makes Haven so much fun - you never know what's coming next.

Tips and Tricks

Well, well, well, it seems like we’ve got ourselves a real maze-like map in VALORANT: Haven. This map is one of a kind, folks. And not just because it’s the only one set in the Bhutan’s Thimphu District on Alpha Earth. Nope, Haven’s uniqueness lies in its third control site, the infamous C Site. This is the only map where Attackers can plant the spike at the C Site. No wonder it’s a real headache for Defenders. They have to secure almost every nook and cranny of the map, all at once. Phew, talk about pressure!

Haven's large size can be deceptive though, as it’s mostly made up of small rooms, courtyards, and narrow passageways. The map is so full of choke points that ambush tactics are practically a given. This means Initiators play a crucial role, and don't even get us started on the Agents with smoke abilities - they’re almost like superheroes on this map. If you love playing the sniping game, this is the place for you, as there are plenty of structures and platforms that offer elevated sightlines, and some that aren't too easy to reach.

The Mid area is so tiny that it's practically claustrophobic, with destructible panels on the doors between Mid and C Short that can't be taken out with gunfire. You'll need to whip out your abilities to destroy them, and once you do, you can wall bang through the doors. Don't forget about the "Heaven" tower on A Site that offers some serious vantage points, and is easily accessible from the Defenders’ Spawn. B Site is completely indoors, making it a tiny yet volatile area to control. And finally, there’s the more generic C Site, which offers two different platforms for extra elevation and a large rectangular structure in the center for cover.

So, whether you’re an expert or just starting, make sure you get familiar with Haven’s layout and don't forget to bring your A-game! Or, if you want to take things up a notch, check out our most recent articles on Ascent and Pearl, or try our VALORANT Agent Generator to find out which Agent suits each map. And while you're at it, see how G-Loot can make your game more rewarding while tracking all your VALORANT stats.

Agent Recommendation

Looking for the best Agent composition for Haven in VALORANT? Look no further, my friend! As with any map in the game, certain Agents are more advantageous on Haven than others. So, what's the best combo for Haven? Let's break it down.

First up, we have Jett. Is she the best Agent in the game? Some say yes, and it's hard to argue against it. Her mobility and versatile kit make her a must-have on nearly every map, but she truly shines on Haven. With her Updraft ability, Jett can reach all the high vantage points on the map, and her Drift ability lets her move between Tetris and other elevated areas on C Site. With her Operator, Jett can be a force of destruction and her Signature Ability, Tailwind, makes her impervious to headshots.

Next, we have Killjoy, the ultimate defender. No other Sentinel Agent can compare to her when it comes to defending and securing retakes. Her Turret, Alarmbot, and Nanoswarm abilities can defend sites autonomously, keeping tabs on every part of the map and stopping flankers from weaving through the corridors. But her ultimate, Lockdown, is the real star of the show. It creates an impenetrable dome around an area, from which enemies can't escape, making it perfect for shutting down any of Haven's three sites.

Then we have KAY/O, the game's most well-rounded Initiator. With his abilities that mirror those found in traditional first-person shooters, he has the perfect kit for exploiting Haven's tight quarters and chokepoints. And while playing KAY/O once had a difficult learning curve, changes in Patch 5.01 have made him more accessible to all players.

Astra is up next, and it almost seems as if she was designed specifically for Haven. Her Signature Ability, Astral Form, grants access to a full overview of the map so she can set up traps known as "stars." These stars can be reactivated in three different ways, making them an extremely versatile tool that gives enemies plenty to fear around choke points. And her Ultimate, Cosmic Divide, forms a large barrier that blocks bullets and dampens audio, making it perfect for taking a site or misdirecting opponents.

Last but not least, we have Omen. He has perhaps the most complete kit to succeed on Haven, with the ability to place smokes anywhere on the map regardless of his position. His Dark Cover ability also lasts substantially longer than most other smoke abilities. But what truly separates Omen from the rest of the roster is his ability to teleport. With Shrouded Step, he can quickly gain the high ground or escape from an area when in danger. And his Ultimate, From the Shadows, is one of the game's best bail-out abilities, giving him access to an overview of the map and the ability to teleport to any location from any position.

So, there you have it, the best Agent composition for Haven in VALORANT. But don't just take our word for it, try it out for yourself! And for more information on Agent compositions for every map, check out G-Loot's VALORANT Agent Generator.
