Competitive Ranks

This revamped skill-based experience pits you against other players in a tense 3v3 playlist, with new ranks and sub-ranks to climb through. But be warned, you'll need to prove yourself first in a series of placement matches to earn your spot in the appropriate division.
The ranks start with the Untested, where new players can complete their placement matches, before climbing the ladder from Copper III to Ascendant. Each win or loss will earn you or cost you Division Points, so be careful not to lose too many or risk demotion. And to make things even more challenging, you'll need to complete Promotion and Relegation Series to progress up or avoid being demoted down a division.
But don't worry, matchmaking is available, so you won't need to scramble for a fireteam before joining in on the action. Solo players can join the Freelance playlist, where they'll match with other solo players.
Keep in mind that your performance, skill level, and division placement all affect your point gains or losses from a match. Crucible Rewards
