Valorant Maps Overview

Valorant is a tactical shooter developed and published by Riot Games. The game was released on June 2, 2020 and is inspired by the famous Counter-Strike. The main game mode is team-based with two types of Agents - Attackers or Defenders. Teams are made of 5 players and each agent has its own special abilities and weapons. At the beginning of the game the player gets only 5 unlocked agents, and by playing and killing, others are activated. But what makes Bind unique are its 2 one-way teleporters. Although they are not the only way to move between zones, they make the game more exciting. Plus, they make a noisy sound when used, which gives you even more amusement but can also make them quite risky to use. Bind is a one-of-a-kind map with two sites and two teleporters that allows you to use various techniques while playing.

Brezee is located on a tropical island, but don't be fooled by its idyllic setting. You should be very careful when in this location. It’s one of the largest maps in Valorant, with a lot of wide open spaces, so before going there, you will need good coverage. You will find yourself in a place with second floors and one way drop doors. Agents like Cypher and Chamber, who are skilled at managing flanks, perform well in this situation.

The Fracture map is the 7th released and it is one of the most intriguing. Its structure is like the letter H and in the middle it is split apart because of a failed experiment. Fracture gives many options for preparing strategies for both sides because of its many entry points and pathways. Agents with higher utility and the ability to control certain areas of the map, such as Viper, Killjoy, and Breach are the go-to choices for this map. Overall, the game is usually more difficult for defenders on this map because they are always spawned in the middle and have no other option.

If you though 2 sites map can be quite challenging, what about 3? Yes, Haven is a 3-site map with different entry points and a complex structure. The most important rule here is to take as much control of the map as possible. There are different entries on each site with short and long passages. Learn about all of them, choose the best agent, and you can become the master of this map. It is no coincidence that Haven is one of the most preferred maps in Valorant. 

Icebox is the fifth map in Valorant  and takes place in the arctic tundra. It’s one of the most complex maps that have been released, with many different corners and angles. It has 2 sites like Bind and Ascent, but unlike them, Icebox has great spatial disposal, which makes it possible to implement whole new strategies and gameplay mechanics. 

Split is one of the first Valorant maps and has an interesting structure. It is a three-lane map which means that there is a mid-lane and 2 others towards sites A and B. The unique feature here are the ropes, which allow quick ascent or descent like a real ninja. These rope moves can be performed quietly and are your best tickets to good strategy land. Also, there are a lot of corners and underground passages. Just don’t forget to look above and prepare your strategy before the game. 

Pearls was the eighth and final map released in Valorant. It is in Lisbon, Portugal and is the only omega-Earth map. The most interesting thing about this map is that it is built with small hallways all over the place. Another unique feature are the holes on the walls which make the game even harder. This can lead to some very interesting strategies and techniques from some experienced agents.
