Valorant is a new online 5v5 tactical shooter, currently developed by Riot Games and is still in closed Beta. In both teams the players pick from different characters called “agents”, they each have four unique abilities, two of them you buy with gold, earned between game rounds. Currently Valoran has 10 agents: Phoenix, Jett, Viper, Sova, Cypher, Brimstone, Sage, Omen, Raze and Breach.

Agent Overview
Buckle up, folks, because we're about to talk about the Agent that will make you feel like a ninja in Valorant – Jett! This agile Agent is the perfect choice for players who love to move around the map with ease and grace. And don't even get us started on her ultimate ability – it's basically a "bye-bye squad" button! However, let's be honest, Jett is not an easy Agent to master, which is why we're here to help you out with this ultimate Valorant Jett guide. Get ready to soar through the skies and leave your enemies in the dust!
Here’s what you should know while playing Jett
This agent relies heavily on mobility and performs well with aerial combo-moves coupled with taking advantage of the high ground. She can outmaneuver her opponents easily and turn a deadly situation to her advantage while toying with her opponents. This makes her an excellent and nimble fighter and a formidable foe.
Tailwind
Ah, Jett, the queen of mobility! But just because she can zip around the map like a caffeinated squirrel doesn't mean you can go all willy-nilly. Here are some tips for her Tailwind ability:
- First off, remember that Tailwind won't take you up or down, so don't expect to be able to jump up to a high ledge with it.
- Tailwind is best used as a quick escape tool. If you're about to meet an untimely demise, use it to get the heck out of there!
- You can move in eight different directions with Tailwind, so don't limit yourself to just forward and backward movement. Mix it up and keep your enemies guessing.
- If you want to be extra unpredictable, try combining Tailwind with a jump. Just make sure you have a good idea of where you're going before you take off!
- Unfortunately, you can't transition straight from Tailwind into a bunny-hop, so don't get too excited.
- After using Tailwind, there's a brief delay before you can use your weapon, so make sure you're in a safe spot before taking off.
- Lastly, be aware that your vision will be slightly distorted while using Tailwind, so make sure you have a good idea of where your enemies are before taking off like a rocket.
So go forth and zip around the map like a caffeinated squirrel, but remember to be strategic with your Tailwind usage!
Updraft
Jett might be small, but don't underestimate her abilities! With her mobility, she can go where no other agent can. And if you want to master Jett, you need to learn how to use her abilities to their full potential. Let's start with Tailwind, shall we?
First things first, Tailwind won't take you up or down, so make sure you're going in the right direction! But it's an excellent tool for quickly escaping a sticky situation. If you're about to die, just blink away as Jett, and you might survive to fight another day.
But wait, there's more! You can use Tailwind to move in eight directions: four cardinals and four diagonals. And if you're feeling fancy, combine it with a jump for a less predictable path.
But be careful where you end up, as there's a delay before you can use your weapon again. And don't get too disoriented, as your vision will be distorted while boosting with Tailwind.
Moving on to Updraft, it's perfect for reaching high places and surprising your opponents. And if you combine it with Tailwind or other boosting abilities, you can go even higher! For example, on Haven, you can use Updraft to get on top of the crates outside attacker spawn, then jump towards A and use Updraft again to hover over B site.
But be aware that when you're in the air, your shots will be wildly inaccurate, except maybe with a shotgun like Bucky. Some players even like to float and gun with Bucky during eco rounds!
And finally, the good news: you can use Updraft and Tailwind at the same time, so let your imagination run wild! Just remember, with great mobility comes great responsibility... and maybe a little bit of motion sickness.
Cloudburst
Listen up, agents! It's time to give Cloudburst some love. Sure, the smoke only lasts for four seconds, but that's four seconds of precious cover in a firefight. And hey, if you're quick on your feet, that's enough time to reposition and flank your enemies.
Here's a pro tip: You can control the trajectory of your Cloudburst for as long as you hold down the button. So why not curve it around a corner to surprise your enemies? You can even navigate tricky terrain with some skill.
But wait, there's more! Deploy your Cloudburst as far away from yourself as possible and watch your enemies get confused. They'll think you're nearby, but little do they know, you've already moved on to greener pastures. Who needs Omen to play mind games, am I right?
Be warned, though: Cloudbursts are hollow. If you find yourself in the smoke, you'll be nearsighted until you leave the area. And while you're controlling the Cloudburst, you won't be able to use your weapons, but you can still move around.
Finally, don't forget that your Cloudburst smoke can be seen on the minimap. Use it to your advantage and keep track of where your smoke is resting. It could make all the difference in a close match.
Blade Storm
Are you ready to slice and dice your enemies? Look no further than Jett's ultimate ability, Blade Storm. Each knife deals a whopping 50 damage to the body or limb, but a devastating 150 damage to the head. That means, if you hit your target's noggin, it's a guaranteed kill. Now, on paper, Blade Storm seems worse than most guns. But don't worry, the knives are always 100% accurate and don't suffer from movement inaccuracy or recoil. So go ahead, use Tailwind or Updraft with Blade Storm for some serious mobility without affecting your accuracy. Blade Storm is also a great option for eco rounds. In fact, you can forego buying a pistol altogether. You start with five knives, but the good news is, if you earn a kill with them, they replenish, giving you some intense clutch team-wiping potential. Pressing right-click while Blade Storm is active will throw all remaining knives in a scattershot manner, essentially turning your knives into a shotgun. It's especially deadly in close quarters, so wait around a corner and surprise your enemies. Remember, there is a delay of 0.2 seconds between knife throws, so you can throw all five knives in one second. And while there is a delay after using Tailwind or Updraft before you can use your gun again, the delay is less pronounced with Blade Storm, making for some deadly synergy with Jett's other abilities. But, be warned, there's a significant wind-up animation before the knives can be thrown (around 1.5 seconds), and a similar delay after they're depleted before you can use your regular weapon again. So, use Blade Storm carefully, or you might be punished for it. High risk, high reward, right? And unlike some other ultimates, Blade Storm isn't on a timer, so take your time and slice with precision.
Tips
Jett may not have the utility of other agents, but she's got something else - the power of float. With her passive ability, Jett can reach high places that other agents can only dream of. Take Haven's A site, for example. While everyone else is scrambling to use abilities or climb up to A Heaven, Jett can just float up to the top of the boxes in the center of the site. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. But Jett's not just a pretty floater. She's an initiator through and through, with the ability to start and end fights quickly. And don't even think about killing her too easily, because she's got the Tailwind to get her out of trouble. Sure, some players may not consider her a top-tier agent, but that just means you'll have to work even harder to prove them wrong. So go ahead, show off your Jett skills and float to victory.
