Delves consist of brief, instanced scenarios that can be undertaken solo or with a team of 2-5 players within a time frame of roughly 10-20 minutes. In groups of 1-4, players are paired with a seasonal NPC companion who can be designated as either Combat or Healer based on your requirements, allowing any class or specialization to participate in Delves in any role they prefer. You can customize your Companion's abilities with Combat and Utility trinkets, which can be adjusted within the Delve itself. As you progress through more Delves, your NPC Companion gains experience and grows more effective, benefiting not just you, but all members of your Warband since Companion Experience is shared.

The initial entry into a Delve will start at Tier 1, with all subsequent tiers locked. Until your first character hits level 80, only the first three Tiers will be accessible.

Upon reaching level 80, completing the campaign with your first character, and equipping at least 548 gear in every slot, you will unlock the achievement War Within Delves: Endgame. This then grants you access to Tier 4 delves. Successfully completing each Delve tier will unlock the next one (finishing Tier 4 grants access to Tier 5, completing Tier 5 opens Tier 6, and so on), all the way up to the highest tier, which is Tier 11.

Like many meta achievements, Glory of the Delver necessitates a demonstration of mastery over Delve content, from experiencing all narratives to maxing out Brann's level and unlocking various challenge tiers.
