After forging Shadow's Edge, you must empower it by collecting the souls of the Lich King's most devoted servants, defeating bosses like Professor Putricide, Blood Queen Lana'thel, and Sindragosa.

Next, Darion will require you to gather 50 Shadowfrost Shards from the bosses in the 25-player ICC raid. This portion of the quest takes the longest, typically requiring 4-5 weeks of full raid clears. Once you complete all tasks, you will be rewarded with the legendary Shadowmourne and given a final challenge to defeat the Lich King, along with the opportunity to loot valuable bonus items.
