Timewalking dungeons pull content from past expansions but don't let you steamroll through them with endgame gear. Since Patch 11.0.5, dungeon enemies scale up to your character's level instead of your character being scaled down. Your current item level and talent build determine how effective you are, and the difficulty feels roughly on par with Heroic dungeons. Tanks need cooldowns on big pulls, healers can't ignore damage spikes, and DPS who skip mechanics will cause wipes. The old strategy of equipping legacy legendaries and curated twink gear sets for easy clears no longer works under the new system.

Timewarped Badges are the main currency from Timewalking content. Bosses drop a handful per kill, and the weekly quest adds 500 on top. You spend badges at expansion-specific vendors who only appear during their matching Timewalking week. Each vendor sells a unique mount for 5,000 badges alongside reputation tokens, heirloom upgrades, transmog sets, toys, and pets. Notable mounts include the Eclipse Dragonhawk from the Burning Crusade vendor, Yu'lei Daughter of Jade from Mists of Pandaria, and the Ironbound Wraithcharger from Wrath of the Lich King. Badges carry over between events, so stockpiling during one week and spending during another is a solid approach for collectors working toward expensive rewards.

The Reins of the Infinite Timereaver is one of the most sought-after mounts in World of Warcraft, and Timewalking dungeons are the primary way to farm it. Every boss across all Timewalking expansions can drop this armored infinite drake, but the rate sits at roughly 0.025% per kill, or about one drop per 4,000 boss kills on average. Timewalking events only run for one week every few weeks, giving you limited farming windows before the event rotates out. The mount can also appear inside the Cache of Timewarped Treasures from the weekly Timewalking raid quest, giving raiders an extra roll each event.
