Choosing the Right Dungeons

  • Solo-friendly Dungeons: Certain early dungeons are manageable solo (with safe play). For Alliance: Ragefire Chasm (Rogue PvP area though), Deadmines (level ~18-23, tough for 18 but at 22+ easier), Shadowfang Keep (lowbie SKing with ghost mobs can be tricky at level 20). This is technically an outdoor mini-dungeon; lots of players do this in pugs for fast XP. Always realize at least two hunters tag the tiger (so you share loot, good to find a friendly one).   • Mage-like Mobs: Watch for casters (e.g. Deadmines Pyromancers, or NT ghosts) that can poly or freeze you. Line-of-sight them: if they iceblock you, FEIGN DEATH immediately so they shift targets.
  • Rogue-like Mobs: Be wary of mobs with stealth or instant-kill abilities. Use Aspects or traps to avoid surprises. For example, Robe-carrying humanoids might kick; keep ranged. If you suspect a stealth pull, use Aspect of the Cheetah to run and Freedom from Will of the Forsaken (Undead racial) if you get feared.
  • Warlock-like Mobs: Look for ones that summon or fear. Always kill summoned creatures first. Save a trap for the summoning or fear.

Precast traps, lure one by one, and always assume death will mean literally death. It's okay to skip any event that looks too risky.

Overall, know your counters: you have traps for CC, Feign for aggro, Sprint for running, and racial tools (fear break, War Stomp, etc.) for emergencies. Use them liberally.
