Worth Your Salt is one of the new quests added in Arc Raiders' Shrouded Sky update, and on paper it sounds like a breeze. You find a Battery Prototype, charge it up, and drop it off. That's it. The actual steps take a few minutes at most, but a frustrating bug means you might need several attempts before you actually get credit for finishing it.
This guide walks you through every step of the quest, from tracking down the hidden Battery Prototype to charging it and delivering it. We'll also cover the bug that limits quest completion to one player per match, and the best way to avoid wasting your time on a doomed run.
Before You Drop In
The entire quest plays out inside the Rocket Assembly building on the Spaceport map, and you need to finish all steps in a single round. You can't carry progress between runs.
Combat risk is low once you're inside since every objective is contained within the building. Spaceport itself is still a dangerous map, though, so getting there in one piece is half the battle. Try to approach Rocket Assembly from the north side to cut down on ARC encounters along the way.
One major catch before you commit to this quest: what feels like a bug currently limits completion to one player per match. Only the first raider to finish the final delivery step actually gets credit. Everyone else in that round is locked out. This will hopefully be patched soon, but for now, expect to run it more than once.
Quest Steps Overview
Five objectives, all in order:
- Travel to the Rocket Assembly building in Spaceport.
- Search for the hidden Battery Prototype in a high place.
- Carry the Battery Prototype to the Industrial Recharger.
- Use the machinery to charge the battery.
- Deliver the Charged Battery to the delivery crate.
Getting to Rocket Assembly
Rocket Assembly is a major named location on the Spaceport map, so you'll see it marked clearly. It sits in the northern part of Spaceport, and the specific section you need is the northwest portion of the building, right where it borders Fuel Control and East Container Yard.
Enter from the north if you can. ARCs tend to be heavier on other approach routes, and there's no reason to pick a fight before the quest even starts.
Once inside, look for the section of the warehouse with red walkways and stairs. All of the remaining quest objectives happen in this area.
Finding the Hidden Battery Prototype
Your objective says to search for the Battery Prototype "in a high place," which just means the upper walkway inside the warehouse.
- Climb the red stairs to reach the upper metal walkway.
- Follow the walkway all the way around to the east corner of the building.
- Look for a row of red lockers in the corner. Next to one of them, you'll spot a small white crate.
- Interact with the crate to grab the Battery Prototype.
You'll now be carrying the battery, so head down to the next objective.
Charging the Battery Prototype
Bring the battery down from the walkway to the center of the hangar. A large red machine sits in the middle of the room near the building's exit. That's the Industrial Recharger.
- Place the Battery Prototype into the small white contraption attached to the machine.
- Pull the lever on the side of the Industrial Recharger to start charging.
- Once it's done, pick the charged battery back up.
Delivering the Charged Battery
Almost done. Head toward the building's exit and look in the corner of the room right next to it. You'll find another small white crate, which is the delivery point.
Interact with the crate to place the Charged Battery inside, and the quest is complete. You don't need to extract alive for it to count. Delivering the battery is the final requirement, so from there you can head back to Speranza or keep looting if you're feeling bold.
The Single Player Completion Bug
The quest steps themselves aren't the problem. The real headache is the bug that only lets one player per round finish the delivery.
Your Battery Prototype is individual to you, so finding, picking up, and charging it all works fine regardless of what other players are doing. The issue hits at the very end. If another raider already delivered their charged battery before you got there, the container shows as full and you can't place yours. No workaround exists for this within the same round. If someone beats you to it, you're done and need to queue up again.
Check the delivery container as soon as you enter Rocket Assembly, before you bother with any quest steps. It's in the corner of the room, right next to the building's exit. If a battery is already sitting in there, someone else finished first and you're better off cutting your losses.
A Prime Specimen from the Headwinds update had the exact same limitation, so this isn't a new issue. It feels like a bug, and given that precedent, a fix will likely come in a future patch.
