Getting Started in Krasarang Wilds

Once you finish up in Valley of the Four Winds, Krasarang Wilds is your next stop. This zone works differently than previous areas though. You can enter from multiple directions, and the questing path isn't as straightforward. That means more freedom to explore, but also more chances to miss valuable stuff.

This zone is packed with Lost Treasures and Elite Rare enemies that drop solid gear. Here's the catch with Lost Treasures: they don't always show up immediately when you reach their location. You'll need to look around a bit more than usual to spot them.

Pro Tip
Lost Treasures in Krasarang Wilds require extra searching time compared to other zones. Don't rush - take your time to thoroughly explore each treasure location.

How the Loot System Works

What Elite Rares Drop

Every Elite Rare in Krasarang Wilds is level 87, and they all share the same basic loot table for armor. You can get any of these headpieces from any Elite:

Epic
Shared Elite Rare Headpieces
Unearthed Dojani Headcover
Korjan Mystic's Hood
Crest of the Red Crane
Deepwild Hunting Helm
Ancient Krasari Helm
Beachcomber's Hat
Brushstalker Helm
Shen-zin Shell Headguard
Tidehunter Helm
Drop Rate:

Each Elite Rare has an equal chance to drop any of these headpieces, plus a Small Bag of Goods for bonus loot.

Unique Special Items

Each Elite Rare also drops one guaranteed unique item. These are usually leg armor pieces with names that match the rare that drops them. So if you want a specific piece, you'll know exactly which Elite to hunt.

Finding Every Lost Treasure

Main Treasures You Can't Miss

Treasure Name Coordinates Reward Special Notes
Pandaren Fishing Spear (50.8, 49.3) Fishing Gear Behind Uncle Deming
Barrel of Banana Infused Rum (52.3, 88.7) Recipe: Banana Infused Rum Rightmost barrel, requires level 87
Equipment Locker (42.3, 92.0) Random Boots Long respawn timer

Pandaren Fishing Spear

Head to coordinates (50.8, 49.3) and look directly behind Uncle Deming. The spear spawns right up against his back, so you can't miss it once you know where to look.

Barrel of Banana Infused Rum

At (52.3, 88.7), you'll find a ship with four barrels grouped together. The one you want is the rightmost barrel in the cluster. This gives you the Recipe: Banana Infused Rum, but you'll need level 87 and 600 Way of the Brew skill to actually learn it. Fun fact: this treasure is close to where Spriggin patrols, so you might run into that Elite while you're here.

Equipment Locker

Go to (42.3, 92.0) and head to the ship's lowest deck. The locker is on the opposite side from where the ladder is. Fair warning: this one has a much longer respawn timer than other treasures, so don't expect it to be available every time you check.

When you do find it, the Equipment Locker randomly gives you one of these boot types:

  • Swashbuckling Boots
  • Plankwalking Greaves
  • Agile Seafarer's Jackboots
  • Seafarer's Boots of Meditation
  • Seafarer's Treads of Precision
  • Seafaring Sabatons of Meditation
  • Seafarer's Sturdy Boots
  • Seafaring Advisor's Slippers
  • Radiant Seafarer's Boots
Warning
The Equipment Locker has a much longer respawn timer than other treasures. Plan your route accordingly and don't expect it to be available on every visit.

Bonus Items Worth Checking Out

Stack of Papers

At (52.0, 73.0) on top of the hill in central Marista isle, you'll find some papers with a fun easter egg. They reference Diablo III's launch date and include a "System Failure" note about the infamous login problems that game had. This doesn't count toward any achievements, but it's a nice bit of Blizzard humor.

Saurok Stone Tablet Cave

The cave entrance is at (71.0, 9.0) in Krasarang Wilds, but the actual tablet is at (75.0, 55.1) in Valley of the Four Winds. You'll find it leaning against the left rock next to some broken barrels, with a green rune carved into it.

Elite Rare Hunting Guide

Mogu Champions

Mogu Champions

Powerful Mogu warriors and sorcerers that patrol specific areas. Each has unique abilities and guaranteed loot drops.

Qu'nas

Qu'nas patrols between (67.2, 20.8) and (67.0, 25.2). This Mogu Warrior Champion hits hard with Devastating Arc, can summon Quilen adds to help in the fight, and uses Titanic Strength to boost damage output. Kill him for Qu'nas' Apocryphal Legplates.

Combat Strategy - Qu'nas

Opening Phase

Watch for Devastating Arc attacks and position yourself to avoid the frontal cone damage.

Add Phase

Kill Quilen adds quickly to prevent being overwhelmed. Focus fire on adds first.

Titanic Strength

Use defensive cooldowns when Qu'nas activates Titanic Strength for increased damage output.

Gaarn the Toxic

Gaarn the Toxic roams from (53.0, 29.0) to (57.8, 37.0). As a Mogu Sorcerer Champion, he'll spam Dark Bolt and Shadowbolt at you, plus drop Voidcloud effects on the ground. He drops Gaarn's Leggings of Infestation.

Other Champion Types

Champion Name Race/Type Patrol Area Unique Drop Key Abilities
Arness the Scale Saurok (56.2, 44.0) to (57.2, 48.6) Arness's Scaled Leggings Vanish, Grappling Hook
Go-Kan Yaungol (38.0, 29.0) to (39.6, 31.6) Go-Kan's Golden Trousers Rushing Charge, Yaungol Stomp
Ruun Ghostpaw Pandaren (39.8, 53.4) to (41.0, 56.2) Silent Leggings of the Ghostpaw Chi Burst, Healing Mists

Spriggin Hozen (50.8, 89.8) to (52.6, 88.8) Spriggin's Sproggin' Leggin' Bananarang, Going Bananas

Arness the Scale

Arness the Scale moves around (56.2, 44.0) to (57.2, 48.6). This Saurok Champion is tricky to fight because of Vanish and Grappling Hook abilities, plus he'll hit you with Smoked Blade and Vicious Rend attacks. You'll get Arness's Scaled Leggings for your trouble.

Go-Kan

Go-Kan patrols (38.0, 29.0) to (39.6, 31.6). This Yaungol Champion will charge at you with Rushing Charge, stomp the ground with Yaungol Stomp, and use Bellowing Rage to amp up his damage. Killing him gets you Go-Kan's Golden Trousers.

Ruun Ghostpaw

Ruun Ghostpaw wanders between (39.8, 53.4) and (41.0, 56.2). This Pandaren Champion fights like a monk, using Chi Burst for damage, Healing Mists to stay alive longer, and Spinning Crane Kick to hit multiple targets. He drops Silent Leggings of the Ghostpaw.

Cournith Waterstrider

Cournith Waterstrider moves from (30.4, 36.8) to (28.8, 40.6). The Jinyu Champion uses water-based attacks like Rain Dance, Torrent, and Water Bolt. Take him down for Cournith Waterstrider's Silken Finery.

Torik-Ethis

Torik-Ethis patrols (14.4, 34.4) to (16.0, 36.6). This Mantid Champion is fast and dangerous, using Blade Flurry for multiple hits, creating Tornado effects, and buffing himself with Windsong. You'll earn Torik-Ethis' Bloodied Legguards.

Spriggin

Spriggin roams (50.8, 89.8) to (52.6, 88.8). The Hozen Champion fights dirty with Bananarang projectiles, Going Bananas rage mode, and Toss Filth debuffs. Beat him for Spriggin's Sproggin' Leggin' (yes, that's really the name).

Smart Collection Strategy

Planning Your Route

Since you can enter Krasarang Wilds from different directions, pick your starting point based on what you want to grab first. Maybe start with the treasures if you want guaranteed rewards, or hunt specific Elites if you're after particular gear pieces.

Dealing with Patrol Areas

Unlike static spawns, these Elite Rares move around within their coordinate ranges. Don't just run to one spot and expect to find them there. You might need to circle around or wait a bit for them to patrol back to where you are.

Critical Note
Elite Rares patrol within coordinate ranges - they are not static spawns. You may need to wait or search the entire patrol area to find them.

Timing Considerations

The Equipment Locker takes much longer to respawn than other treasures. If you're doing multiple runs through the zone, check this one last or plan to come back later.

Since all treasures here are Lost Treasures, budget extra time at each location to search around. They won't always be sitting out in the open waiting for you.

Combat Prep

All the Elite Rares are level 87, so make sure you're appropriately leveled and geared. Some of them have tricky abilities like stealth, healing, or adds, so don't expect simple tank-and-spank fights.

For the Banana Infused Rum recipe, you'll need to be level 87 with 600 Way of the Brew skill, so plan accordingly if that's something you want to learn right away.

Pros
  • Multiple entry points offer flexibility
  • Guaranteed unique drops from each Elite
  • Great achievement progress potential
  • Valuable gear upgrades available
Cons
  • Lost Treasures require extra search time
  • Elite Rares patrol making them harder to find
  • Equipment Locker has long respawn timer
  • Some fights require specific strategies

This guide covers everything you need to completely clear Krasarang Wilds of both treasures and Elite Rares. Take your time exploring since the zone rewards thorough investigation over rushed completion.
