Legendary Mount:

One of the most impressive mounts you can get in Mists of Pandaria Classic. This isn't just about clearing Mogu'shan Vaults - you'll need to complete the entire Glory of the Pandaria Raider meta achievement, which spans three different raids.

Reward from: Glory of the Pandaria Raider

Prerequisites

Three things stand between you and this mount:

Critical Requirements
Exalted with Order of the Cloud Serpent - You'll need to grind this reputation first. No shortcuts here.
Cloud Serpent Riding - Complete the "Riding the Skies" questline. This unlocks your ability to actually use cloud serpent mounts.
Glory of the Pandaria Raider - The big one. This meta achievement requires clearing achievements in Mogu'shan Vaults, Heart of Fear, and Terrace of Endless Spring. We're focusing on the Mogu'shan portion here.

Achievement Types

Mogu'shan Vaults has four types of achievements you'll encounter:

Achievement Categories
Challenge Achievements
Core requirements for Glory of the Pandaria Raider
Kill Credit Achievements
Straightforward boss kills under certain conditions
Meta Achievements
Bundle multiple related achievements together

Challenge Achievements Walkthrough

Must Love Dogs (Stone Guard)

What you do
Kill Stone Guard while everyone has a dog or wolf pet out. This one's pretty simple if you prepare ahead of time. Every single person in your raid needs a canine pet summoned before you pull the boss. The fight itself doesn't change at all.

Best pet to use: Perky Pug. Most people already have this from running random dungeons.

Other options:

  • Fox Kit (from Tol Barad)
  • Curious Wolvar Pup (Children's Week)
  • Arctic Fox Kit (pet battles in Storm Peaks)
Important Note
Prairie Dogs don't count, despite the name. When people die, their pets despawn. Make sure they resummon immediately after getting rezzed. Have someone call out pet checks throughout the fight.

Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better (Feng the Accursed)

Complex Achievement Alert
Use Shroud of Reversal to steal five specific abilities from Feng: Epicenter, Wildfire Spark, Arcane Resonance, Lightning Fists, Arcane Velocity. This is probably the most complex achievement in the instance.

Feng Phase Strategy

Phase 1 (100-67%)
Phase 2 (67-33%)
Phase 3 (33-0%)

Phase 1: Get Lightning Fists and Epicenter. Position ranged player for Lightning Fists, use Shroud of Reversal before attack lands.

Phase 2: Wildfire Spark - target debuffed player with Shroud of Reversal quickly before flames appear.

Phase 3: Get Arcane Velocity and Arcane Resonance. Progress carries over between raids!

Sorry, Were You Looking for This? (Gara'jal)

Spirit Realm Mechanic
Activate the Ancient Mogu Artifact in the spirit realm. Kill a Spirit Totem and everyone in its radius gets teleported to the spirit realm. Channel the artifact in the middle - solo channeling takes 30 seconds, but you can only stay for 30 seconds. Bring 3-4 people to speed up the channel time.
Pro Tip
You don't even need to kill the boss for this achievement. If you're progressing and a wipe gets called, just have a few people hop into the spirit realm and click the artifact.

Getting Hot In Here (Subetai the Swift)

Full Raid Required
Get your entire raid hit by Pillage, then everyone dance targeting Subetai. You need a full raid team for this. If you're running with 7 people in a 10-man, you'll need to grab 3 more players just for this achievement.

Subetai is the second boss in the Spirit Kings encounter. His Pillage ability "steals" your gear if you're within 8 yards when he casts it. You want everyone to intentionally get hit by this, then target him and type /dance.

You can always do the achievement then wipe and redo the fight normally, especially if you're attempting this on Heroic.

Straight Six (Elegon)

Easier Than It Sounds
Kill six Empyreal Focuses within 10 seconds of each other, then kill Elegon. Most groups complete this naturally by doing the fight correctly. The "10 seconds" timer resets each time you kill a conduit, so you don't need perfect timing across all six.

During Elegon's second phases (at 85% and 50% health), six adds spawn and run to conduits around the room. The normal strategy is splitting your raid into two groups, getting conduits low on each side, then finishing them off together.

Show Me Your Moves! (Will of the Emperor)

Hardest Coordination Challenge
Have everyone successfully dodge a Devastating Combo sequence, then use Opportunistic Strike on the same target. Much easier on 10-man than 25-man.

Devastating Combo Strategy

Setup Phase

Split the bosses to opposite corners, away from where adds spawn. Have 9 players (24 on 25-man) stack on one boss during the combo sequence. Your most mobile tank should be ready to move between bosses.

Execution Phase

Everyone needs to successfully dodge all 5 attacks. You can't just stand out of range - you need to actively dodge while in melee. When everyone gets their Opportunistic Strike ability, use it on the same boss.

Tips for Success

Time it during Titan Gas when no adds spawn. Use movement speed enchants on boots. Save Stampeding Roar for tricky combinations. Skip damage potions and use Swiftness Potions instead.

Required Heroic Kills

For Glory of the Pandaria Raider, you need to kill every boss on Heroic difficulty:

Boss Encounter Achievement Name Special Reward
Stone Guard Heroic: Stone Guard -
Feng the Accursed Heroic: Feng the Accursed -
Gara'jal the Spiritbinder Heroic: Gara'jal the Spiritbinder -
Four Kings Heroic: Four Kings -
Elegon Heroic: Elegon -
Will of the Emperor Heroic: Will of the Emperor "Delver of the Vaults" title

You'll also get standard completion achievements like "Guardians of Mogu'shan" (first three bosses) and "The Vault of Mysteries" (final three bosses).

Guild Achievement Options

If you're running with guildmates, you can pick up some bonus achievements:

Guild Achievements
Mogu'shan Vaults Guild Run
Clear the raid in a guild group
Heroic: Will of the Emperor Guild Run
Kill the final boss on Heroic as a guild

These stay with your guild permanently and show who contributed to earning them.

Pros
  • Prestigious mount reward
  • Account-wide achievement
  • Teaches advanced coordination
  • Some achievements are soloable later
Cons
  • Requires coordinated team
  • Multiple raid lockouts needed
  • Complex achievement mechanics
  • Extends beyond one raid

Planning Your Achievement Run

Strategic Approach
Start with the easy ones. Must Love Dogs and Sorry, Were You Looking for This? require minimal coordination and can be knocked out quickly.

Build up to coordination challenges. Getting Hot In Here and Straight Six need teamwork but aren't mechanically demanding.

Save the hardest for last. Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better and Show Me Your Moves! require solid understanding of the encounters and tight execution.
Remember the Bigger Picture
Glory of the Pandaria Raider extends beyond Mogu'shan Vaults. You'll need to tackle Heart of Fear and Terrace of Endless Spring achievements too. Plan accordingly.

The Heavenly Crimson Cloud Serpent represents serious dedication to MoP's raid content. But with proper preparation and a coordinated team, you'll be flying around on one of the game's most prestigious mounts.
