Blizzard has launched two Diablo 4 events simultaneously, giving players a final farming push before Season 10 ends. Mother's Blessing and Compass to Carnage are both live now and run until December 2 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

Two Events Running Together

Mother's Blessing is a returning favorite that boosts progression across all activities. Compass to Carnage focuses specifically on Infernal Horde content, which has been central to Season 10's gameplay.

Compass to Carnage was originally scheduled for November 4, roughly halfway through the season. Blizzard delayed it due to unforeseen circumstances, so it now arrives alongside Mother's Blessing for the season's final week.

Mother's Blessing Bonuses

The event provides three bonuses affecting nearly every activity in the game:

  • 35% bonus to all XP gains
  • 50% bonus to gold drops
  • Bonus Gift of the Tree cache when completing Grim Favors

Players looking to push Paragon Levels, level alts, or stockpile gold before the season transition will find this week particularly rewarding. The XP bonus also makes it easier to experiment with different classes while Season 10 mechanics are still active.

Compass to Carnage Bonuses

This event is all about Infernal Hordes:

  • Infernal Compass drop rates are increased throughout the game
  • Each compass obtained grants an additional one, effectively doubling available Horde runs
  • Chaos Waves spawn more frequently inside Infernal Hordes
  • Sealing Chaos Rifts awards extra Aether

Doubled compass drops combined with increased Aether gains make this the most efficient Chaos Armor farming window of the season.

Season 10 Completion Goals

Season 10 is expected to end around December 11, making this event week one of the last chances to finish seasonal objectives.

Boss Encounters: Infernal Compasses are required to fight Bartuc and the Fell Council. With compass drops doubled, farming these encounters is far more accessible.

Reputation Progress: The Viz-Jaq'taar Veneration reputation board benefits directly from increased Infernal Horde runs. Players behind on reputation should prioritize Hordes this week.

Chaos Armor: More frequent Chaos Waves plus extra Aether creates the best farming conditions of the season. Chaos Armor and Chaos Powers disappear when Season 10 ends.

Season Journey: The 35% XP bonus from Mother's Blessing speeds up any remaining Journey objectives.

Season 11 Preview

Season 11 launches December 9, giving players about a week after these events end before the new content arrives.

Azmodan joins as the fourth and final Lesser Evil in Diablo 4's demon lord roster. Demon lord invasions will appear in the Pit of Artificers, Helltides, and Kurast Undercity.

New systems include Divine Gifts, Sanctification, a leaderboard system called The Tower, and a reworked Masterworking system.

Making the Most of Event Week

Infernal Hordes are the clear priority. Running them provides Mother's Blessing bonuses (XP and gold) alongside every Compass to Carnage bonus, making Hordes the single most rewarding activity available right now.

Players who've been waiting to level alts or test new builds with Chaos Armor should act this week. The seasonal mechanics won't survive the transition to Season 11.

Event End Date
Both events end December 2 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
