Marvel Rivals Season 4 drops September 12th with several Team-Up changes coming to the game. The latest Dev Vision reveals one brand new Team-Up, two existing partnerships getting expanded, and the complete removal of Dimensional Shortcut.
Angela and Daredevil join the roster alongside sweeping balance changes that buff nine heroes while nerfing eight others. These changes will fundamentally reshape the meta rather than make minor adjustments.
Divine Armory Links Angela and Thor
The season's flagship addition pairs Angela with Thor in a new Team-Up called Divine Armory. Angela acts as the anchor, sharing her ichor to give Thor a thunder spear ability.
Thor can throw the spear to restore his Thor Force when it hits enemies. After the throw, he can leap directly to the impact point and unleash a second damage wave that hits all nearby enemies. This creates a powerful combo for engaging and disengaging that could make Thor much more mobile in team fights.
Existing Team-Ups Get New Members
Two established partnerships are expanding their rosters in Season 4.
Magik joins the Arcane Order Team-Up alongside her existing partners. She gains Chain of Cyttorak, which links two enemies with magical chains and slows them down. The farther apart the linked enemies are, the stronger the slow effect becomes. Teams get new crowd control options for separating enemy formations.
Black Panther moves into the Gamma Charge Team-Up, trading his old partnership for gamma powered upgrades. When his health drops below a certain threshold, he automatically activates a gamma shield that blocks incoming damage. The automatic trigger means players don't have to worry about timing since the shield kicks in when they need it most.
Dimensional Shortcut Gets Cut
Developers are removing the Dimensional Shortcut Team-Up entirely from Season 4. No replacement has been announced, and the Dev Vision didn't detail specific reasons for the removal.

Nine Heroes Get Buffs

The new Vanguard hero specializes in aerial engagement and weapon transformation. Angela can shift between three weapon types: a spear for diving attacks, a shield for defense, and dual axes for maximum damage output.
Her kit revolves around taking fights to enemy backlines from the air. She can dive into enemy formations to create openings for her team, then morph her weapon into a shield when things get dangerous. The dual axes form appears to be her finishing move for eliminating weakened enemies.
Angela's weapon swaps seem tied to her abilities rather than manual selection. This means players won't be juggling weapon modes since the game automatically gives her the right tool for each situation.
