Season 6.5 of Marvel Rivals brought two nightmare events on February 19th, and the Twisted Nightmare event is the premium half of that pair. It's a paid battle pass built around a corrupted Scarlet Witch, featuring 12 tiers of cosmetics capped off by the Twisted Conjurer legendary costume.
How the Twisted Nightmare Event Works
Twisted Nightmare follows a familiar battle pass structure. Players earn XP by joining matches and progress through 12 reward tiers as they level up. Every item on the track requires the premium pass, with no free rewards included.
The event launched February 19th at 9:00 AM UTC and runs until March 20th at 9:00 AM UTC. It shares that exact window with the Faulty Dream event, and players can participate in both at the same time.
Event Pass Price
The premium pass costs 690 Lattice. Players need to buy in before they can start earning progress on the rewards track.
Purchasing the pass also grants permanent access to the rewards track. Progress carries over past the March 20th deadline, so there's no rush to grind everything out before the event closes. Players who skip the pass entirely can still pick up individual Twisted Nightmare rewards from the in-game Store after the event wraps up.
How to Unlock the Twisted Conjurer Scarlet Witch Skin
The Twisted Conjurer legendary costume for Scarlet Witch sits at Tier 12, the final level on the rewards track. Unlocking it means buying the 690 Lattice pass and earning enough match XP to clear all 12 tiers. Every tier along the way rewards themed cosmetics that pair with the legendary skin, so completing the full track builds out a matching Scarlet Witch set.
All 12 Twisted Nightmare Rewards
Twelve rewards make up the track, all tied to the corrupted Scarlet Witch theme:
Tier 1: Twisted Nightmare Nameplate
Tier 2: Sorceress Supreme Spray
Tier 3: Scarlet Witch Emoji Bundle 1
Tier 4: Twisted Conjurer Spray
Tier 5: Chaos Dreamweaver Scarlet Witch Emote
Tier 6: Faulty Dream Nameplate
Tier 7: Scarlet Galacta Spray
Tier 8: Scarlet Witch Emoji Bundle 2
Tier 9: Twisted Conjurer Nameplate
Tier 10: Scarlet Witch Dynamic Mood Bundle
Tier 11: Nightmare Mistress MVP Animation
Tier 12: Twisted Conjurer Scarlet Witch Costume
The track covers nameplates, sprays, emoji bundles, an emote, a dynamic mood bundle, an MVP animation, and the legendary costume as the final reward.
Faulty Dream: The Free Alternative
Players who don't want to spend on Twisted Nightmare still have a solid event running on the same schedule. Faulty Dream is completely free and centers on Doctor Strange instead of Scarlet Witch.
Instead of XP progression, Faulty Dream uses mission completion to unlock rewards. The main prize is the Doctor Strange Phantom Sorcerer costume, and players can also earn exclusive sprays and nameplates. It runs from February 19th through March 20th at 9:00 AM UTC, matching Twisted Nightmare's window exactly.
Other Season 6.5 Updates
New Marauders costumes for Emma Frost and Iron Man arrived on February 20th. The Monster King Fan Championship hosted by Deadpool also kicked off, with Duos and Squads divisions competing in a first to three wins format. Rewards for that event include Units, Unstable Molecules, and exclusive player items.
Verdict on the Twisted Nightmare Pass
At 690 Lattice, the pass delivers 12 themed cosmetics anchored by one of Scarlet Witch's strongest skin designs. Permanent access to the rewards track takes pressure off the grind, and the full set gives Scarlet Witch mains a complete corrupted look from nameplate to legendary costume. Nothing on the track is free, though, so players who aren't invested in Scarlet Witch may be better off with the Faulty Dream event and its free Doctor Strange skin.
