Blizzard has officially revealed Legion Remix, the next seasonal event coming to World of Warcraft with Patch 11.2.5. The announcement dropped during the latest WoWCast, where Community Manager Bethany Hudson sat down with Content Designer Josh Aaron Miller and Lead Game Producer Ray Bartos to break down what players can expect.
Legion Remix lets players create a new "Timerunner" character using any of the original 12 Legion classes. These characters blast through the entire Legion expansion from level 10 to 80 at an accelerated pace, with major gameplay tweaks throughout.
Every Piece of Legion Content Returns
The event packs in everything from the original expansion. Players get access to all twelve dungeons, the Karazhan mega-dungeon, five raids, the complete Legion Campaign, local storylines, World Quests, Class Order Hall campaigns, and Artifact questlines.
Legion Assaults, Invasion Points, and Withered Training scenarios all make their return. The infinite dragonflight speeds up weekly lockouts, reputation gains, and Class Order Hall missions to keep the pace moving.

Eternus Returns with New Purpose
Legion Remix continues the story from Mists of Pandaria Remix, featuring Eternus from the infinite dragonflight. While she previously studied past events during the Pandaria event, now she's investigating Legion-era history to understand what saved Azeroth from the Legion invasion as the Worldsoul Saga heats up.
Artifacts Get a Complete Overhaul
The biggest change ditches the cloak and gem system from Pandaria Remix for a completely new Artifact approach. Every Artifact weapon now shares one powerful trait tree with five paths: Nature, Fel, Arcane, Storm, and Holy.
Players pick their path but can respec anytime. The new Quick Assign feature lets you Ctrl-click to dump all your remaining Infinite Power into your selected trait, or Ctrl-right click to refund back to a chosen point.
Jewelry drops throughout the world add Ranks to traits from any path. This lets players mix traits from different paths or push their chosen path beyond normal limits.
Heroic World Tier Cranks Up Difficulty
Taking inspiration from Diablo, Heroic World Tier transforms outdoor content into a serious challenge. Eternus empowers creatures with more health, higher damage, and Affix-like buffs that make fights harder but drop better rewards.
Eternus is experimenting to prepare Azeroth's champions for what could happen if things get worse.
New Features Add Depth
Timewarped Obelisks scattered across the world grant temporary but powerful buffs during exploration. Mythic+ fans get Timeworn Keystone Dungeons featuring most original Legion Affixes plus four brand-new ones called "Eternus's Trials."
The Infinite Research system offers over 100 daily assignments ranging from demon killing to dungeon runs to bronze orb collection while Skyriding. Players can unlock multiple assignments at once and bank up to six days of quests for flexible scheduling.
Fel-Infused Class Mounts Lead New Rewards
Legion Remix introduces Fel-infused versions of class mounts. Legion originally introduced 21 Class Order Hall mounts to players, and players will get Fel variants this time around.
New transmog sets include elegant Azshara-inspired robes that let players channel the former Naga Queen's aesthetic. Weapon collectors can grab Mannoroth's shield and Varian's Fel-corrupted swords.
The highly anticipated new Scythe of the Unmaker variant arrives in Fel green, joining the original and red versions. Additional Manasaber mounts are also coming.

Titles and Legacy Rewards
Three new titles await completion: "Chronoscholar," "the Infernal," and "of the Infinite Chaos." These tie into the temporal manipulation themes running through the event.
Legacy content becomes far more accessible through Bronze currency purchases. Rare raid transmog like Xavius's shoulders and both existing Scythe variants can be bought instead of farmed. Mount collectors can snag the Llothien Prowler, Shackled Ur'zul, and Violet Spellwing without relying on RNG drops.
Bronze Returns with Gear Changes
Bronze currency handles cosmetic purchases, but the upgrade system works differently from Pandaria Remix. Instead of Bronze upgrades, gear improvements drop directly from content. Harder content means better drop chances for upgrades, creating a more traditional progression curve.
Character Slots and Conversion Options
Blizzard is adding five character slots to every WoW account to accommodate Timerunner characters. Players can convert their Remix characters to regular characters before the event ends, though this one-way process removes all Remix-specific items and abilities.
Converted characters get level-appropriate gear and gold, while any legacy cosmetics get mailed over. This preserves the rewards you've earned during the event.
Phased Releases Mirror Classic's Approach
Legion Remix rolls out in phases every two weeks, following WoW Classic's model. This recreates the original Legion experience while giving players time to absorb the story without feeling rushed.
Skies of Fire kicks things off with base Legion content and Emerald Nightmare. Rise of the Nightfallen brings the Suramar storyline, Insurrection campaign, Return to Karazhan, plus Nighthold and Trial of Valor raids.
Legionfall opens the Broken Shore with Legion Assaults, Cathedral of Eternal Night, and Tomb of Sargeras. Argus Eternal covers the three Argus zones, Seat of the Triumvirate, and Antorus raid. This phase includes a mini-game where players transform into wyrmtongue demons to collect bronze orbs with increasing speed.
Infinite Echoes wraps up the event as the timeline collapses. Players say goodbye to the infinite dragonflight characters and allies while embracing the chaos of the ending.
PTR Testing Starts Soon
Part of Legion Remix hits the 11.2.5 PTR for limited testing. The patch also improves the Cooldown Manager with a new frame for ordering, hiding, and showing spells and buffs. Turbo Boost returns for Season 3 shortly after 11.2.5 goes live.
Design Philosophy Emphasizes Power Fantasy
According to the developers, the goal centers on creating challenge and strategy opportunities that players eventually dominate through epic power gains. The design captures Legion's original spirit while adding modern quality-of-life improvements.
The accelerated timeline lets players experience Legion's complete story within the seasonal timeframe. The infinite dragonflight's temporal manipulation provides the lore justification for condensed progression and easier access to historically rare rewards.
Players who prefer waiting for all content can still experience everything before the event ends, while the phased structure maintains the fast-paced progression that defines Remix events.
