To obtain the Navigator Trace Rifle Catalyst, players will need to return to the dungeon after acquiring The Navigator. This involves completing a set of intricate puzzles and challenges. You'll find three hidden statues within the dungeon, and you must deposit a Vestige of Light into each one. Once this is accomplished, a unique mini-boss, the Lightbearer Acolyte, will spawn, introducing special mechanics to the encounter.

After successfully obtaining the Catalyst, players must upgrade it to Masterwork before it can be applied. While the exact number of kills required for this upgrade is not definitively known, it is estimated to be around 400 to 500 kills, typical for a Special ammo Exotic weapon.

The Navigator Catalyst offers a unique reload feature. By holding down the reload button (R) and firing the weapon, players will spawn a Grapple Tangle at the designated location. In addition to The Navigator's ability to grant Woven Mail to both allies and the wielder, this catalyst provides an additional utility that players utilizing the Strand subclasses can exploit.
