Root of Nightmares sits aboard the Witness's terraformed pyramid ship above Neomuna, and it ends with Nezarec, the Final God of Pain, at the end of a four-encounter run packed with Field of Light puzzles and hidden chests. The raid itself is one of the more approachable ones Bungie has shipped, but the Conditional Finality grind and red border farm is what keeps players coming back week after week. Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares Carry puts an experienced fireteam in the driver's seat so you collect the loot without burning evenings in LFG.

Destiny 2 Root of Nightmares Carry Service Description

The raid clear is only half of what makes Root of Nightmares worth running. The other half is the farm. Between the Conditional Finality exotic shotgun, the six legendary weapons with Harmonic Resonance rolls, and the weekly red border chest locked behind a puzzle, most players end up running this raid many more times than they planned. A root of nightmares carry compresses all of that into one clean session with boosters who know every encounter, every seed puzzle, and every shortcut to the secret chests. Pair a root of nightmares carry with the full Destiny 2 Boost catalog for power leveling, exotic quests, and other endgame activities.

Root of Nightmares Loot and Conditional Finality

The raid drops six legendary weapons, each with the Harmonic Resonance origin trait. Koraxis's Distress is a rapid-fire strand grenade launcher that rolls with Chain Reaction. Nessa's Oblation is a pinpoint slug void shotgun that can roll Destabilizing Rounds. Briar's Contempt is a linear fusion rifle, Mykel's Reverence a sidearm, Rufus's Fury an auto rifle, and Acasia's Dejection another linear fusion, each with strong PvE perk pools. Three class armor sets drop alongside them: Agony for Titans, Trepidation for Hunters, and Detestation for Warlocks. The real prize is Conditional Finality, the raid exotic shotgun with Paracausal Pellets and Split Decision. One barrel freezes with stasis pellets, the other ignites with solar. It drops from Nezarec and is the main reason most Guardians farm this raid repeatedly.

Nezarec and the Raid's Encounters

The raid opens in Cataclysm, where the fireteam fights Aspirants of Nezarec while building a network of nodes using the Field of Light buff, all under a Sweeping Terror timer that wipes the team if it hits zero. Scission follows as a traversal section across chasms, with Darkness's Refuge zones built by chaining light and dark seeds. The final run-up introduces the Explicator before the team reaches Nezarec himself, the Disciple of the Witness and the Final God of Pain. Two hidden chests sit off the main path, and solving the seed puzzles correctly throughout the raid spawns a bonus red border chest after Nezarec dies. None of it is brutally difficult on Normal, but the mechanics punish cold teams that do not know the callouts.

Master Mode and the Root of Nightmares Boost Farm

Master difficulty is where the real loot farm lives. It unlocks Adept versions of every raid weapon, but only through the four rotating weekly challenges: Illuminated Torment, Crossfire, Cosmic Equilibrium, and All Hands. Each challenge clear awards one random Adept weapon, and since challenges rotate weekly with only three attempts per account, building a full Adept collection takes time. Add in Spoils of Conquest from the vendor chest after Nezarec, which lets you reroll weapons you have already unlocked, and a root of nightmares boost stacked across multiple weeks becomes the fastest way to lock in god rolls and finish crafting patterns without grinding LFG for a fireteam that actually knows the mechanics.
