One Above All works differently from every rank below it. Bronze through Celestial use fixed point thresholds and tiered divisions, but Eternity and One Above All drop the divisions and reward raw rank points. You first push out of Celestial into Eternity, then keep stacking points. The rank itself is only awarded at season settlement, when the Top 500 leaderboard snapshot decides who claims the badge. Anyone outside that cutoff finishes as Eternity, no matter how high they climbed earlier. That timing is why pacing matters: too early burns effort defending position, too late risks missing the cutoff by a handful of points.

Rank decay activates at the top of the ladder, targeting Eternity and One Above All specifically. Stop queuing for an extended stretch and rank points bleed automatically, with enough decay dropping you back to Celestial. This exists to stop players from hitting Eternity early and coasting into the Top 500 window on reputation alone. It also means One Above All cannot be locked in and forgotten. A booster pushing an account into leaderboard range has to keep playing regularly to counter decay and fend off everyone else grinding the same cutoff. That maintenance phase is where most self-piloted attempts fall apart.

Competitive rewards in Marvel Rivals distribute at season settlement, based on the peak rank you hit during the season rather than where you sit when the timer runs out. A brief drop from decay will not strip rewards as long as you genuinely reached the threshold. For One Above All, the prize stack is the heaviest on offer: the Top 500 Crest of Honor lands on your nameplate as visible proof of a leaderboard finish, alongside the Eternity and One Above All Crest of Honor. Players still need to complete a minimum number of competitive matches to qualify, so passive accounts do not cash out on a peak alone.
