Ascendancy points unlock a specialized passive skill tree tied to your chosen subclass, granting abilities that fundamentally change how a build plays. Each base class branches into multiple Ascendancy options. A Warrior can become a Titan focused on slam damage and stuns, or a Warbringer who empowers totems and Warcries. That choice locks in after your first trial completion, though it can be changed later. There are four tiers of progression, each awarding two points for a total of eight. The first tier comes from completing a campaign quest trial in Act 2 or Act 3, and the second from clearing the other trial.
