What You Need to Know About K'aresh Trust

The K'aresh Trust is the newest Renown faction in Patch 11.2, and it's got the reward everyone's chasing: the Infinite Augment Rune. This permanent augment rune gives you lasting benefits for The War Within content, making it essential for endgame players.

You'll need Renown 18 to buy the Infinite Augment Rune, which means grinding a solid chunk of reputation. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to rack up those points quickly.

Boost Your Rep Gains First

Darkmoon Faire WHEE! Buff

Before jumping into K'aresh Trust grinding, check if the Darkmoon Faire is running. During the initial Patch 11.2 launch, the faire runs until the 9th, creating a perfect overlap window.

Grab the WHEE! buff from the carousel, which boosts all reputation gains by 10% for an hour. That might not sound like much, but it stacks up fast across multiple activities. Pop this before tackling your major reputation sources and you'll save time.

Pro Tip
Always check for the Darkmoon Faire WHEE! buff before starting your reputation farming sessions. That 10% boost adds up significantly over multiple activities.

Week 1 Big Reputation Sources

Main Story Campaign: Ghosts of K'aresh

Your biggest reputation haul comes from the main storyline. Week 1 opens the first three chapters, and each one ends with a substantial reputation reward.

Chapter rewards:

  • Chapter 1 (The Shadowguard Shattered): 2,000 reputation
  • Chapter 2 (My Part of the Deal): 2,000 reputation
  • Chapter 3 (The Tabiqa): 2,000 reputation

That's 6,000 reputation just from following the story. Not bad for required content.

Week 1 Reputation Breakdown
Main Story Campaign
6,000 reputation - Your biggest source
Side Quests
4,000-5,000 reputation - Solid secondary source
Lore Books
2,500 reputation - One-time collection

Weekly Dungeon Quest

The weekly dungeon quest in Dornogal got updated for Patch 11.2. Find Biergoth hanging out in front of the inn, and he'll give you a quest that rewards 1,500 K'aresh Trust reputation.

This works perfectly since you're probably running dungeons anyway. Just pick up the quest before you queue and knock out two goals at once.

Side Quest Network Breakdown

K'aresh has 11 side questlines you can tackle immediately in Week 1. Each one gives between 350-500 reputation, and finishing all of them nets you the Sojourner of K'aresh achievement.

Zone 2371 starting points:

  • Of Boughs and Bonds at 54.4, 63.7 (Bridge to Nowhere)
  • In Search of Darkness at 60.9, 27.7 (A Common Cause)
  • Untethered Potential at 59.8, 29.1 (Untethered Potential)
  • Chasing Echoes at 51.9, 64.8 (Those We Have Lost)
  • Avoiding the Void at 76.6, 34.3 (Chipping the Void)
  • Priest of the Old Ways at 77.6, 39.8 (An Outcast's Request)
  • Anyway, Here's Firewall at 49.8, 57.4 (Give Me Fuel)
  • A Stranger's Gift at 57.0, 57.3 (Stranger on the Steps)

Zone 2472 starting points:

  • On a Technicality at 50.5, 38.8 (Overwhelm Them)
  • That Tazavesh Taste at 43.7, 52.5 (Applied Mixology)
  • Lost and Found Storage at 48.0, 24.5 (A Lucrative Opportunity)

These aren't massive reputation sources individually, but they add up to a solid chunk when you do them all.

Lore Book Treasure Hunt

Scattered around K'aresh are 10 lore books that give 250 reputation each. Some are just sitting around, others need Phase Diving to access.

Standard realm books:

Zone 2472:

  • Ba'key's Cookie Recipes at 46.3, 18.5
  • Dog-Eared Book at 37.3, 25.7
  • Mysterious Notebook at 58.3, 91.2
  • Coins: An Oath at 41.6, 39.7

Zone 2371:

  • Geologist Journal at 48.9, 57.1

Phase Diving required books:

Zone 2472:

  • Become Void at 36.6, 58.1
  • Minor Pleasures at 38.2, 45.6

Zone 2371:

  • Multiversal Energy at 49.6, 26.7
  • Vengeance To Void at 42.2, 20.9
  • Facets of K'aresh at 72.1, 29.4

You need to finish Chapter 3 and the Phase Diving intro questline before these last five show up. Collecting all 10 gets you the Secrets of the K'areshi achievement and 2,500 total reputation.

Critical Note
You must complete Chapter 3 and the Phase Diving introduction before you can access five of the lore books. Plan your route accordingly!

Weekly Grind Activities

K'aresh Warrant Quests

Once you hit Renown 3, head to Constable Zo'ardaz in Tazavesh for warrant quests. These reset weekly and involve completing a few quick tasks before summoning a rare mob.

Phase Diving Weekly

After finishing Chapter 3, you'll unlock "More Than Just a Phase," the Phase Diving weekly quest. You'll need to kill certain mobs, loot treasures, and complete world quests while Phase Diving.

Long-Term Reputation Sources

World Quests and Contracts

World quests become your go-to for ongoing reputation. At Renown 5, Scribes can buy the Contract: The K'aresh Trust recipe. This contract gives you extra K'aresh Trust reputation whenever you complete world quests anywhere in Khaz Algar, not just K'aresh.

Rare Mob Farming

K'aresh rares give 15 reputation each and reset weekly. It's not huge, but if you're already running around doing world quests, you might as well kill them when you see them.

Reputation Source Comparison

Source Reputation Amount Frequency Difficulty
Main Story 6,000 total One-time Easy
Weekly Dungeon 1,500 Weekly Medium
Side Quests 4,000-5,000 total One-time Easy
Lore Books 2,500 total One-time Medium
World Quests Varies Daily Easy
Rare Mobs 15 each Weekly Easy

Planning Your Grind

Week 1 Potential

If you hit everything available in the first week, you're looking at:

  • Main storyline: 6,000 reputation
  • All side quests: roughly 4,000-5,000 reputation
  • Lore books: 2,500 reputation
  • Dungeon weekly: 1,500 reputation

That puts you somewhere around 14,000-15,000 reputation before any buffs. With the WHEE! buff, you'll push closer to 16,000.

Ongoing Weekly Routine

After the initial push, your weekly sources are:

  • Dungeon quest: 1,500 reputation
  • Both K'aresh weeklies: amounts vary
  • World quests: depends on what's available
  • Rare kills: 15 per rare, weekly reset

Renown Milestones

  • Renown 3: Warrant quests unlock
  • Renown 5: Contract recipe available
  • Renown 18: Infinite Augment Rune purchase

Phase Diving Requirements

You can't access Phase Diving content until you finish Chapter 3 of the main story and complete the Phase Diving introduction. This includes five of the lore books and the weekly Phase Diving quest.

Warning
Phase Diving content is locked behind story progression. Don't expect to access everything immediately in Week 1.

Daily Farming Tips

Start each session by checking if Darkmoon Faire is up for the WHEE! buff. Then hit your world quests and kill any rares you encounter along the way. Stack your activities together instead of making separate trips for each thing.

For your weekly reset, prioritize the dungeon quest first since it's the biggest guaranteed chunk. Then tackle the K'aresh-specific weeklies and make sure you've killed all the rares for their weekly reputation.

Stay consistent with your dailies and weeklies. You won't hit Renown 18 overnight, but regular progress will get you there faster than sporadic grinding sessions.
