Picking the Right Crosshair

There's no single "best" crosshair in Valorant. What works comes down to how you play, the distances you usually fight at, and what feels right visually.

Size vs. Range

Size versus precision is the biggest tradeoff in crosshair selection.

Smaller crosshairs (dots, small plus shapes, five dot setups) shine at long range. You can clearly see enemy heads at distance without the crosshair covering the target. They're ideal for holding long angles, playing with tapping weapons, and nailing precise first shots. The tradeoff is that small crosshairs are harder to track during fast mouse movements and don't give you much feedback when spraying.

Larger crosshairs (big plus shapes, wide gap designs, outlined setups) are stronger at close and medium range. They're easier to follow during aggressive plays, quick flicks, and messy trades up close. At long distances though, a big crosshair can literally cover an entire enemy model, making it really hard to center on heads.

Color

Pick a crosshair color that's visible on every map. Valorant's maps have pretty different lighting and color palettes, so you want something that won't disappear depending on where you're playing. Cyan, green, red, and white are the most popular choices for visibility. Stay away from colors that blend into common map textures unless you're okay with occasionally losing track of your aim.

Outlines

Turning on outlines adds a contrasting border around your crosshair lines, and it's one of the easiest ways to improve visibility, especially on bright maps or against busy backgrounds.
