A booster plays your matches, or plays alongside you, until the result you ordered is on the account. Every order is played by hand.

Why do players buy a boost?

• Placements. A weak calibration costs you the rest of the season.
• Hardstuck. Matchmaking pulls everyone toward a 50% winrate, so the middle of the ladder is where most accounts stall.
• The Competitive Points grind. A weapon variant costs 3,000 CP at 10 CP a win, which is 300 wins on one hero.
• Season reset and rank decay. A Diamond finish can start next season in Platinum, and stepping away drops you further.

How does an order run?

1. You pick the rank, role or number of wins and pay.
2. A booster picks it up, usually within the hour.
3. You follow it live and message the booster directly while it runs.
4. It closes when the result you paid for is on the account.

Piloted or self-play, which should you pick?

Piloted means we log in and play, and it is the faster of the two. Self-play means you keep the account and queue alongside the booster, so you watch every match. Every order runs on PC, PlayStation or Xbox.

How long does a boost take?

Most orders are picked up within the hour. After that it depends on how many divisions or wins you ordered and on queue times at your rank, so you follow it match by match rather than waiting on an estimate.

The competitive ladder runs from Bronze to Champion, five divisions in each tier, 5 being the lowest and 1 the highest. Top 500 sits above them all and is the only tier without divisions.

How does the Challenger Tier work?

Top 500 is the Challenger Tier, and the leaderboard is ordered by Challenger Score rather than by rank.

• Wins above Diamond 5, or All-Star 5 in Stadium, add score
• A loss costs roughly a third of what the win was worth
• A Heat Bonus raises what a win is worth as the season runs on
• Separate boards run per role, for Open Queue and for Stadium

Which queue should you boost?

• Role Queue locks 1 Tank, 2 Damage, 2 Support, and tracks a separate rank for each role
• Open Queue drops the restriction and uses one rank
• A 6v6 option sits alongside 5v5
• Stadium runs its own ladder and its own leaderboard
• Quick Play and Arcade sit outside Competitive and never move your rank

Placement matches calibrate where you start. After that the rank moves every match, and a hidden MMR decides who you are matched against, which is why a visible rank can sit still while the account is actually climbing.

• Tank absorbs damage and makes space.
• Damage secures eliminations and pressures targets.
• Support heals, buffs and keeps the team alive.

Swapping hero mid-match is expected, not optional. Two systems make that harder than it sounds:

• Perks. Minor and major perks unlock during a match through damage, healing and eliminations. A major perk can change how an ability works.
• Hero Bans. Each team votes out up to two heroes, so a one-hero player runs out of options fast.

Do I need to play more than one hero?

In Competitive, yes. Between hero bans and mid-match swaps, a one-hero player gets forced onto something they do not know.

That is the gap a Top 500 booster closes. Not aim, but knowing which swap wins the round. It is also why boosts are bought per role: moving Support says nothing about your Damage rank.

Competitive Points buy weapon variants, the cosmetic upgrades that change how a hero's weapon looks. Golden was the original line and Blizzard adds a new one each competitive year.

How long does a golden weapon take?

At 10 CP a win and 3,000 CP a variant, that is 300 wins for one weapon on one hero. A full line across the roster runs past 100,000 CP, which is why CP farming is one of the most ordered jobs we take.
