Junkrat (real name Jamison Fawkes) is a Damage-role hero known for explosives and area denial. An Australian scavenger turned anarchist, he wields a Frag Launcher, Concussion Mines, Steel Trap, and the RIP-Tire ultimate. Junkrat excels at controlling choke points and punishing clustered enemies with high damage output, but struggles against ranged enemies and barriers. His evolution from Overwatch 1 to OW2 introduced role passives (enemies he damages have reduced healing) and new Perks. In the current (April 2025) meta, Junkrat is considered a mid-tier DPS pick – potent in the right hands but outranked by top sniper/assault heroes. This guide covers everything from ability stats to advanced strategies, helping both beginners and veterans optimize Junkrat's grenade trajectories, trap placements, mine jumps, and more.

Junkrat was introduced at Overwatch's launch in 2016 and remains a unique area-denial hero. An explosives-obsessed convict, his Frag Launcher fires bouncing grenades, and he supplements that with Concussion Mines (knockback bombs) and a Steel Trap (immobilizes foes). His passive "Total Mayhem" drops grenades on death for extra damage. In OW2, all heroes share a regeneration passive, and the DPS role passive now reduces enemies' healing by 20% when damaged. Junkrat's strengths include massive burst damage, crowd control (trap root, knockback), and mobility (mine jumps). Weaknesses include poor direct aim, reliance on indirect fire, and vulnerability to long-range and shielded opponents. In the April 2025 meta, Junkrat often sits around B-tier usage – powerful in chaotic maps but less effective against coordinated dive comps.

Junkrat's kit is summarized below with exact stats (April 2025 patch):

Ability Damage / Effect Other Stats
Passive – Total Mayhem Drops 6 grenades on death, 50 damage each Explosions 0.7s after death; grenades ignore Junkrat (no self-damage)
DPS Role Passive Dealing damage reduces enemy healing by 20% for 2s Applies to all enemies hit; does not stack with itself
Frag Launcher 45 (direct hit), 80 → 10 (splash up to 2m) Ammo: 5; Reload: 1.5s; RoF: 1.5 shots/s; AoE radius: 2m; Projectile speed: 25 m/s; Knockback: 9.4 m/s (enemy)
Concussion Mine 120 (direct), 55 (AoE max) CD: 8s (2 charges); AoE radius: 3m; Knockback: 21.2 m/s; Health: 25 (destroyable)
Steel Trap 100 damage on trigger CD: 10s; Roots: 2.5s; AoE radius: 1m; Health: 100 (destroyable); arm time 0.75s
RIP-Tire (Ultimate) 600 (inner), 60 (max falloff) HP: 100; Duration: up to 10s (Tire moves at 12 m/s); AoE: 10m (max), falloff after 2m; Boost: +30% speed (LSHIFT) at –50% damage

Each ability's mechanics have nuances. Junkrat's grenades bounce up to twice before self-detonation. Concussion Mines stick to surfaces and can be detonated remotely (no friendly damage) to launch Junkrat or enemies (knockback). Steel Trap deploys in front and locks targets in place. The RIP-Tire travels fast (12 m/s) and deals massive 600 damage at point-blank. Notably, Junkrat's grenades ignore barriers after the second bounce, allowing indirect fire through shields. His Perk changes (as of April 2025) include Aluminum Frame now revealing trapped enemies to allies.

Projectile Mastery (Grenade Trajectories and Choke Spam)

Enhance Your Skills

Junkrat's Frag Launcher is best used for indirect fire and area denial. The grenades travel at ~25 m/s and explode after two bounces or on contact. Understanding their arc is key: grenades have a high lob, shrinking slightly after the second bounce. Effective players "ping" shots over cover and around corners, flooding chokes with grenades. Common tactics include spamming tight chokepoints (e.g. spawn exits, gateways, payload approaches) so enemies have no safe path. Since grenades detonate with a 0.3s delay after beeping, early spam forces enemies out of cover. As a rule, aim not for individual targets but for space: "it's best to launch your grenades at an area, rather than at a specific target". In direct firefights, try to lead your shots so enemies run into the explosion. Practice predicting bounces (use walls to bounce grenades into enemies) and control the arc by holding or tapping fire (full charge gives max lob vs quick tap for short lob). Learning grenade trajectories takes time, but mastering it turns Junkrat's spam into pinpoint zoning power.

Pro Tip
When aiming grenades at moving targets, aim where they will be, not where they are. Remember that grenades have travel time and bounce patterns that you can use to your advantage.

Advanced Mine Techniques (Jumps, Peel, Aerial Use)

Master Advanced Mine Jumps!
Our professional boosters can help you perfect Junkrat's mobility tactics.
Get Boosted Now

The Concussion Mine is a versatile tool beyond raw damage. Mine Jumping is essential: detonate a mine under yourself to propel Junkrat high or far, enabling unexpected flank routes. Since Junkrat takes no self-damage, you can "double jump" by firing a mine, detonating it mid-air, and using your secondary jump to reach ledges or escape. This mobility lets Junkrat access high ground quickly and dodge pursuit. Conversely, enemy peel can use a mine to knock foes away or into hazards. The mine's knockback (21.2 m/s) can shove flankers or divers (even into pits). For example, an approaching Winston or Genji can be thrown off your back to buy distance. Trap and Mine combos yield lethal bursts: a Steel Trap (100 damage) followed by an instant mine (120 damage) deals 220 total, instantly killing most 200-HP heroes (especially effective on clumped enemies or tanks). You can also aim mines as projectiles: throw one into the ceiling or around corners so it sticks, then detonate it on an unsuspecting enemy below. In summary: use mines for mobility (flanking, escape), for crowd control (knocking enemies), and for burst combos. Master timing (placing the mine, then leaping onto it) and remember you can shoot a flying or anchored mine to change trajectory or detonate it from range.

Critical Note
Always save at least one mine charge for emergency escapes. Getting caught without mobility as Junkrat often means certain death.

Trap Mastery (Placement and Usage)

Gold
Perfect Your Trap Placements!
Our professional boosters can teach you optimal trap spots on every map.
Learn From Pros

Junkrat's Steel Trap is a powerful but often underused tool. It immobilizes an enemy for 2.5s, enabling follow-up damage. Key tips for trap placements: hide it out of direct sight (around corners, in doorways, or behind objects) so enemies step on it unexpectedly. For example, placing traps on flank paths, health packs, or payload routes lets you catch unsuspecting targets. A good trap is slightly concealed; note that only the bright blue rings on its ends are visible from a distance, so placing it in clutter or darkness helps. Always have one trap active – placing a second trap removes the first – so time your redeploys carefully. In one-versus-one, a trap can deny escape or punish divers: toss it under a dashing Sombra or behind a Genji. Traps are also great in team fights: placing one behind your tank's barrier, or in front of a choke, lets you punish anyone who pushes. After triggering a trap, your Concussion Mine often finishes the victim. Remember, enemies can destroy an unused trap, so don't reveal its location by overusing it. Pair traps with other abilities: e.g. trap then immediately mine or spam frag; trap+mine = kill. In short, Junkrat trap placements should guard flanks and high-traffic areas, catching off-guard enemies and enabling lethal combos.

Pro Tip
Place traps in dark corners or partially inside objects to hide them from enemy view. With the Aluminum Frame perk, your team can see trapped enemies through walls, giving you a significant advantage.

RIP-Tire Strategies (Routes, Target Priority, Juking)

Boost
Master RIP-Tire Game-Winning Plays!
Learn optimal RIP-Tire routes and techniques with our coaching sessions.
Get Coached Now

Junkrat's RIP-Tire is a lethal walking bomb. To maximize it, choose routes that avoid enemy sight. Common tactics: approach from side corridors or high paths, use verticality to stay out of easy LoS, and activate from unexpected angles (e.g. on Ilios, use the side bridge and drop down; on Numbani, hug walls). While steering the Tire, frequently zigzag and wall-surf to dodge incoming fire. You can climb walls and jump with the Tire to traverse obstacles. Pressing crouch (LSHIFT) triggers a speed boost, but at 50% damage penalty, so use boosts only when you need to quickly close distance (e.g. to surprise a healing target). Priority targets: look for isolated or high-value victims. Junkrat's 600-point-blank damage one-shots most heroes. Ideally target supports (Mercy, Ana, etc.) or clumped squishies. Avoid using Tire directly at tanks with full shields unless you can catch them alone. When to detonate: once you're near them (just before shields or dodge). If the team can focus, hold on Tire until an ally triggers it at peak efficiency. Remember that Junkrat can aim from the Tire's perspective and is invulnerable while controlling it. If the Tire is about to be destroyed, quickly detonate on whoever is closest – even if not optimal target. In team fights, coordinate ults: e.g. Nano-boost the Tire from a hidden angle for a guaranteed wipe. Mastering Junkrat RIP-Tire routes and feints ("juking") is key: a smart Tire driver can slip behind the enemy and explode unexpectedly, making it a devastating surprise weapon.

Warning
Be careful when using RIP-Tire against heroes with stun abilities like Cassidy or Brigitte. They can destroy your tire instantly if you approach too predictably.

Synergies and Team Compositions

Gold
Learn Optimal Team Compositions!
Our professional coaches can help you understand which heroes work best with Junkrat.
Team Up Now

Junkrat shines with the right teammates. His best synergies come from heroes who group enemies or boost his damage. For example, Orisa's barrier and Halt are ideal: a shield gives Junkrat cover to spam, and Halt can pull enemies into a trap or mine combo. In fact, a popular composition is Orisa + Junkrat + Pharah + Baptiste + Zenyatta. Orisa's shield lets Junkrat and Pharah unleash volleys safely, Baptiste provides survivability, and Zenyatta's Discord orb dramatically amplifies their damage. Another strong comp is Reinhardt + Junkrat + Mei + Ana + Lucio: Mei freezes enemies with Junkrat's grenades, Reinhardt's shield protects them, and Ana's Nano Boost can turn Junkrat's RIP-Tire into an instant kill. In general, crowd-control tanks (Reinhardt, Orisa, Sigma) pair well, as they lock enemies in kill zones. Supports that boost damage or survivability – like Zenyatta (Discord), Ana (Nano), or Baptiste (Immortality) – also elevate Junkrat's impact. Avoid comps where Junkrat's indirect spam is nullified (e.g. heavy dive with no cover). Experiment with teammates who complement area damage: Pharah's rocket synergy or another zoner (Mei) can turn a Junkrat barrage into a teamfight. Ultimately, coordinate with your team: bait enemies into your traps, let tanks herd foes into your grenades, and call out ult combos for maximum effect.

Orisa Best Tank Synergy: Orisa

Orisa's barrier provides excellent cover for Junkrat's spam, while her Halt ability can group enemies together for maximum grenade effectiveness. This pairing allows for powerful area denial and choke point control.

Zenyatta Best Support Synergy: Zenyatta

Zenyatta's Discord Orb amplifies Junkrat's already high damage output, turning your grenades and mines into devastating burst damage. This combo can quickly eliminate key targets and win team fights.

Countering and Being Countered

Boost
Learn How to Counter Your Counters!
Our professional boosters can teach you how to deal with Junkrat's toughest matchups.
Get Boosted Now

Junkrat has clear counters. Flying and long-range heroes outrange him or avoid his spam: for instance, Pharah and Echo are very strong against Junkrat because he can't hit them reliably with grenades. Hitscan snipers (Widowmaker, Ashe, Cassidy) can pick Junkrat off from afar, and flankers (Tracer, Genji) with mobility can evade traps and stick to Junkrat. Heroes with strong barriers or defenses also pose problems: Zarya's bubble can absorb grenades and block mine knockback, and Defense Matrix (D.Va) or Sigma's barrier negate his ult and spam. In a dive-heavy meta, Winston or D.Va can pressure Junkrat into the open. When playing Junkrat against these counters, adjust accordingly: use Concussion Mines to reach airborne targets (vs Pharah), and spam around corners to avoid snipers' sightlines. Conversely, as Junkrat's killer, focus shield break and high ground. In team comps, pair Junkrat with a Zarya or Baptiste to mitigate enemy dives, and adapt your style – play more defensively if snipers dominate, or more aggressively if enemies clump. Knowing counters helps you decide when to change your playstyle: switch to area denial on choke-heavy maps, or stick to flank paths when facing dive.

Warning
Be extremely cautious when facing Pharah or Echo. Their aerial mobility makes them very difficult for Junkrat to hit. Consider asking a teammate to switch to hitscan or focus on area denial if these heroes are causing problems.

Map Mastery Now

Every competitive map has ideal Junkrat spots. While detailed diagrams are ideal, some universal tips apply. On escort/hybrid maps, spam around payload chokes and hidden routes: e.g. on Dorado Point A arch, on Junkertown first corner, or Rialto canal entrance. Use the environment: bounce grenades off walls to reach enemies on the point (such as lobbing into the top window on Route 66). Place traps on flank entrances: for example, a Steel Trap in Eichenwalde first castle doorway or Havana generator ramp. On control maps, defend points by spamming from cover – on Ilios Well, shoot grenades into the well; on Lijiang Control Center, fire into doorways. For flanking and RIP-Tire routes, study alternate paths: flank through side doors (e.g. Hanamura back alley, Oasis garden side door) and use your mine-jumps to reach overlookings. Each map has known "Junkrat spots" (commonly documented by the community); learning these maximizes your area denial.

Note
Maps with tight corridors and choke points like King's Row, Eichenwalde, and Nepal Sanctum are particularly strong for Junkrat. Open maps like Junkertown's later phases require more careful positioning.

Playing With Team Ultimates

Combining Junkrat's ult with teammates' ultimates can be game-changing. Combo Ultimates: For example, pairing Hanzo's Dragonstrike or Orisa's Grav with RIP-Tire can wipe teams. Ana's Nano Boost on Junkrat makes a charged Tire or even a grenade volley deadly; as one guide notes, "Ana's precise healing and Nano Boost empower Junkrat's explosive potential". Zenyatta's Discord is another classic combo: a 600-damage Tire plus discorded target is instant death. Zarya's Graviton Surge into a clump of Junkrat grenades (or mine) also guarantees multi-kills. On the flipside, Junkrat can amplify others: Pharah launching a Junkrat trap above an ulting Reaper, for instance. Ult Economy: Time your tire wisely – don't use it if the enemy has a Justice or Brigitte ult to counter. Also, use your death grenades (Total Mayhem) in concert: if you're going to die, drop bombs into the fray while your team follows up. In essence, coordinate ult usage: e.g. bait enemies into a Grav or Graviton, then drive the Tire through. In OWL's brief Junkrat appearances, we saw that immortality fields (Baptiste) or Discord orbs amplify Junkrat's bombs and tire. Practice these synergy ult combos in scrims and call them out in game.

Ultimate Combo Strategy Effectiveness
RIP-Tire + Graviton Surge Drive tire into Zarya's grav for guaranteed multi-kill ★★★★★
Nano Boost + RIP-Tire Ana boosts before tire for increased damage ★★★★☆
Discord Orb + RIP-Tire Zenyatta discords key target before tire detonation ★★★★☆
EMP + RIP-Tire Sombra disables shields, then Junkrat uses tire ★★★☆☆

Rank-Specific Strategies

Gold
Climb Through the Ranks!
Our professional boosters can help you adapt your Junkrat play to each competitive tier.
Rank Up Now

Junkrat playstyle should adapt to skill level. In lower ranks (Bronze–Gold), enemies often clump and don't avoid your spam. You can freely pepper chokes and likely get kills with unpredictable grenades or stray trap setups. Focus on spamming and map presence: keep firing and use basic combos (trap+mine) whenever possible. Higher ranks (Platinum–GM) see smarter opponents who dodge predictably and use counters. Here you must be more tactical: place traps where only keen eyes will spot them, mix your grenade timings, and rely on flanks more. Work with teammates (they may listen to your calls in higher SR). Also, higher-level Junkrat players use advanced animation cancels and movement tech (see Section 12) to eke out extra efficiency. As one guide notes, creative players continually tailor tactics to exploit Junkrat's strengths – at top rank, experiment (e.g. weird angle spam, off-meta trap spots) and always review what worked or failed. In short: play looser in low SR to punish common mistakes, and play precise and unpredictable in high SR to outwit coordinated foes.

Pro Tip
In Bronze through Gold, focus on simple trap+mine combos and heavy grenade spam in choke points. In Platinum and above, develop unpredictable trap placements and more complex mine jump flanks to surprise enemies who are more aware of standard Junkrat tactics.

Advanced Tech and Mechanics

Several mechanical tricks give Junkrat an edge. Animation Cancels: You can cancel certain animations with others. For instance, starting a mine throw immediately after firing can cancel the Frag Launcher reload, saving time (community guides list "Reload > Mine" as a cancel trick). Also, "Melee > Mine" is cited as an animation cancel combo. Experiment: chaining a melee swing then a mine toss can slightly reposition you faster. Triple Mine Jump: By detonating one mine and immediately jumping onto it, then placing a second mine at your feet mid-air, you achieve a triple jump (first jump + 2 mine boosts). This can cover huge distances or reach high perches no other hero can. Sacrificial Mine: Holding a mine to cancel yourself off a ledge (to re-place it) can extend movement. Frag Tactics: Some players cancel a Frag Launcher's reload by quickly swapping weapons or jumping, though these are minimal gains. The gist: master strafe-repositioning between grenades, and use Concussion Mines creatively. Finally, practice RIP-Tire control: you can jump and crouch with the tire to dodge shots. These frame tricks are advanced; learn them one at a time and practice in custom games.

Advanced Animation Cancels:

- Reload > Mine (saves reload time)
- Melee > Mine (faster repositioning)
- Mine Throw > Detonation (quicker mine usage)
- Grenade > Quick Melee (extra damage without delay)
- RIP-Tire > Jump > LSHIFT (boost) (unpredictable tire movement)

Playing the Role: Damage vs. Area Denial

Gold
Perfect Your Role in Team Fights!
Learn when to focus on area denial versus direct damage with our coaching.
Role Mastery Now

Junkrat straddles two roles: pure damage dealer and area denial specialist. Deciding your focus depends on the situation. When teammates engage, spam grenades into clustered enemies to deny space (his key strength). Use traps and mines to lock down flanks and punish pushes, making it unsafe for enemies to advance. However, when isolated kills are on offer, switch to an eliminator mindset: lead your grenades in duels or hit precise frag throws. As one strategy tip advises, in direct fights "lead your Frag Launcher shots so that your enemy will run into them". In essence, lean on area denial when controlling objectives or chokepoints, and lean on raw damage (shot leading and burst combos) when dueling. Communicate with your team – if they hold choke, spam; if they dive someone, help secure the kill with targeted shots. Balancing these roles maximizes Junkrat's versatility.

Critical Note
Understanding your role in each team fight is crucial. On defense, focus on area denial to prevent pushes. On attack, look for pick opportunities with direct damage combos to create advantages.

Boost
Improve Through VOD Reviews!
Our coaches can analyze your gameplay and provide personalized feedback.
Get VOD Review

To improve, review your own play and identify recurring issues. When watching VODs, note missed grenades, misplaced traps, and inefficient ult usage. Ask: Did I use my Concussion Mine optimally (for escape or kill)? Did I spam the right chokepoint? Were my traps baited? Also check positioning: Junkrat is fragile, so ensure you use cover between volleys (practice "Junkrat positioning" by returning to side cover). Pay attention to ultimate economy: did you waste RIP-Tire by engaging head-on, or use it with teammate's ults for combos? Watch for animation usage: could you have canceled reloads or chained actions faster? Lastly, inspect decision-making: did you swap hero when countered? With practice routines (Section 16), then targeted VOD review, players often see major gains. Focus each review on one element (e.g. aim, traps, ults) and keep notes. Over time, these small adjustments (like faster mine jumps or more disciplined spamming) add up to big improvements.

Pro Tip
When reviewing your VODs, try watching at 0.75x speed to better analyze your decision-making process. Pay special attention to your positioning relative to cover and how you're using your abilities in combination.

While Junkrat sees less pro play, some DPS pros have showcased high-level Junkrat skills. For example, during Overwatch League 2022, players like JAKE (Seoul Dynasty) and others pulled out Junkrat on specific maps, demonstrating expert grenade spam and trap placement. These pros emphasize unpredictability: spamming through shields, trapping flank routes, and timing RIP-Tire for openings. In OWL's brief Junkrat appearances, we saw that synchronizing with Ana (for Nano) and Zenyatta (for Discord) is critical. Watching their VODs, note how they reposition after each volley and use every advantage (some even race-switch weapons to skip cooldowns). Even in Contenders or top-ranked pubs, "Junkrat one-tricks" will showcase animation cancels and unorthodox routes (e.g. rocket-jumping with double mines in spawn). Dedicated practice accelerates Junkrat mastery. Aim drills: Create workshop lobbies to practice bounce accuracy – for instance, firing grenades to land on moving bots or through narrow windows. Practice indirect shots by placing allied orbs to bounce grenades into enemies. Mine-jump routines: In custom games, set your ult charge to maximum and repeatedly perform triple-jumps across the map, refining your timing to minimize downtime. Trap drills: Rematch common flank routes (find or build a small map) and practice tossing traps so that a moving target steps in. RIP-Tire control: Use spectator mode or custom bots and steer the tire through a mock obstacle course, mastering wall-runs and boosts (remember the speed boost halves damage). Additionally, deathmatch or aim training (like Aim Lab or Aim Booster) helps improve shot consistency – junkrat's projectile aim benefits from precise tracking and anticipation. Set up routines like: 30 minutes frag spamming, 30 minutes mine drills, 30 minutes trap practice. Even spending a few games focusing only on one element (e.g. landing midair mines on bots) yields improvement. Repetition of combos (trap>mine>grenade>mine>grenade) until it's muscle memory is the fastest path to execution under pressure.

Pro Tip
Create a custom game with cooldowns set to 0% and practice triple mine jumps across maps. This will help you develop muscle memory for quick escape routes and flanking paths.

Matchup Mastery Now

Against each hero, adapt your tactics. Tanks: Junkrat can shred Zarya under her max-charge bubble (since grenades ignore her barriers) and trap Roadhog or Sigma to cut their effectiveness. Be wary of Sigma's Kinetic Grasp (it blocks Frags) – bait it by tossing nades then detonating mine. Against Rein, spam under or behind his shield; a well-timed mine can send him flying to break formation. Offense heroes: Hitscans (Widow, Ashe) will punish you, so stay behind cover and peek for quick volleys. Genji can reflect grenades – try to bait his reflect with a mine or trap first. Against Tracer/Genji, place traps in their typical blink/reflect pathways. Defense/DPS heroes: Pharah/Echo are hard matchups – use mines for damage and call for help (or skip them). Street-level heroes (Soldier, Cassidy) depend on view; punish them if they stand still, but avoid open lines with them. Supports: Zenyatta and Moira have low mobility – a well-placed trap or double mine usually kills them. Ana can Nano herself and sleep, so force utility cooldowns before ultimate. Brigitte can stun you out of trap if close – avoid face-to-face. Overall, track each enemy's cooldowns: if Reaper just used Wraith, trap him for the next approach. In teamfights, use enemy ult timers too (e.g. avoid tire when enemy Brig has rally). Frame combos in your mind: trap 200HP heroes (like Genji or Mercy) and combo with mine/grenade to delete. Recognize every hero's escape and exploit the window (e.g. trap Zarya's leap landing, nade flash).

Enemy Hero Threat Level Counter Strategy
Pharah/Echo ★★★★★ Stay under cover, use mine jumps to reach them, or ask team for hitscan support
Widowmaker/Ashe ★★★★☆ Use indirect fire from cover, approach from flanks with mine jumps
Zarya ★★★☆☆ Bait bubble, then focus fire; grenades pass through bubble after second bounce
Genji ★★★☆☆ Bait deflect with a single grenade, then follow with trap+mine combo
Reinhardt ★☆☆☆☆ Spam grenades at his feet or above shield, use mine to displace him from team

Get Your Questions Answered!
Our expert coaches can help solve your Junkrat gameplay problems.
Ask the Pros

"Why am I missing so many shots?" Make sure to lead your shots and adjust for grenade travel time. Use practice mode to calibrate aim.

"How do I use my trap effectively?" Always predict enemy movement – place traps around corners, on healthpack routes, or on objective approaches. Replace them regularly and hide them well.

Patch Notes: In April 2025, Junkrat's Aluminum Frame perk was buffed to reveal trapped enemies to allies. The Major Perk "Tick Tock" description now notes a 0.5s delay before the mine's damage and radius increase. Keep up with such changes: e.g., this patch makes your traps slightly more strategic.

Common mistakes: Don't spam face-on without cover; always move unpredictably between grenades. Avoid using RIP-Tire when heavy crowd-control or anti-projectile is available. Mind trap cooldown (placing a second destroys the first).

Community Q&A: If unsure whether Junkrat fits your team, experiment on PTR or QP. Ask teammates to signal if enemies are clustering to prioritize targets. Keep an eye on what enemies do after killing you; it often reveals good trap spots or flanks.

Troubleshooting: If you feel underpowered, review your team synergy. Junkrat underperforms if enemies stay out of range or spread out; in that case, focus on zoning rather than raw kills.

Note
Junkrat receives balance updates regularly. Always check the most recent patch notes to stay informed about any changes to his abilities or perks that might affect your playstyle.
