PvP Gear Progression in MoP Classic

Gearing for PvP in Mists of Pandaria Classic follows a clear two-currency system. Honor Points, earned from random battlegrounds and world PvP, buy the Dreadful Gladiator starter set. Conquest Points from rated arenas and RBGs purchase Malevolent Gladiator gear at a higher item level. Unlike previous expansions, Conquest gear has no rating requirements. You just need to hit your weekly cap through wins. The weekly Conquest cap also increases over time, so players who start late in a season can catch up without falling permanently behind. Elite PvP sets unlock at 2200+ arena rating but share the same stats as standard Conquest gear. The difference is purely cosmetic, with unique color variants and visual effects that mark you as a top-tier competitor. PvE items above ilvl 473 get scaled down inside arenas and battlegrounds, which means dedicated PvP gear always holds the advantage in instanced combat.

MoP Classic Arena Boost Brackets and Rewards

MoP Classic arenas run across three brackets: 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5. One of the biggest changes from the original expansion is that Gladiator and Rank One titles are now available in all three brackets, not just 3v3. The personal rating system also means you don't need a fixed team roster anymore. Queue with any partner, and your progress stays tied to your character. Each season awards a unique Gladiator mount (the Malevolent Gladiator's Cloud Serpent for Season 12) along with permanent titles and Feat of Strength achievements. Reaching 2200 rating in any bracket unlocks elite transmog gear, while Gladiator status requires finishing the season at the top of the arena ladder with 50 wins above the rating threshold. Rated Battlegrounds offer an alternative path to Conquest Points and PvP rewards through 10v10 objective-based matches on maps like Silvershard Mines and Temple of Kotmogu.
