Chimaerus the Undreamt God - What Makes This Fight Difficult

Chimaerus breaks from the typical raid boss formula. Instead of tanking and burning him directly, your raid manages waves of Manifestations that exist in a parallel layer called the Rift. These adds can't be damaged until players gain Alnsight through Alndust Upheaval, forcing the group to split attention between two states of reality. Manifestations that aren't killed in time break into the physical world and move toward Chimaerus. Any that reach him are consumed, permanently increasing his damage through Cannibalized Essence with no way to reverse it. When he hits full energy, Chimaerus launches Corrupted Devastation from the air while adds continue spawning below. The phase ends with Ravenous Dive, instantly consuming every remaining Manifestation and often deciding whether the pull survives or falls apart. Tanks need tight positioning to intercept adds entering reality, healers face sustained pressure from Rift Sickness rather than burst spikes, and DPS must save cooldowns for windows when multiple Manifestations become vulnerable at once.
