World of Warcraft brings back Turbulent Timeways on December 2nd for a 10-week run through February 3rd. The event debuts Shadowlands Timewalking and offers players four Bronze Covenant mounts, enhanced leveling buffs, and item level 694 Heroic gear.
The Bronze Dragonflight has detected disturbances in the timeways, triggering another extended Timewalking celebration. This marks the second Turbulent Timeways event since the format launched during Dragonflight, coming five months after the previous iteration.
Event Launches Alongside Patch 11.2.7
Turbulent Timeways arrives with Patch 11.2.7, "The Warning," the final content update for The War Within expansion. The patch also brings a new Lorewalking chapter focused on Azeroth's Elven races, early player housing access for Midnight pre-orders, and the returning Brawler's Guild.

Weekly Quest Rewards Item Level 694 Heroic Cache
Blizzard upgraded the weekly Timewalking quest rewards for this event. Completing the quest grants a Cache of Kareshi Treasures at item level 694, matching Heroic-level gear from Manaforge Omega. These enhanced caches only drop during Turbulent Timeways and won't appear in regular Timewalking weeks.
Stacking XP Buffs Speed Up Alt Leveling
Running Timewalking dungeons during the event grants "Knowledge of the Timeways," a 5% experience buff that applies to monster kills and quest completions. The buff stacks with each dungeon run and persists through death.
After four dungeon completions, the buff upgrades to "Mastery of the Timeways," boosting experience gains to 30%. The buff works account-wide, making it ideal for leveling multiple characters to 80.
Master of the Turbulent Timeways IV Grants Free Mount
Players who maintain "Mastery of the Timeways" for five weeks earn the "Master of the Turbulent Timeways IV" achievement. The achievement rewards Ta'readon's Mount Voucher, which starts a quest to Overseer Ta'readon in the Hall of Curiosities.
The voucher lets players choose one Bronze Covenant mount for free:
- Bronze Wilderling
- Bronze Corpsefly
- Bronze Gravewing
- Bronze Aquilon
After claiming the freebie, the other three mounts cost 5,000 Timewarped Badges each from the Timewalking vendor. Blizzard removed Covenant restrictions from these Shadowlands mounts. Players can ride any mount regardless of Covenant affiliation, so Venthyr-themed mounts like Bronze Gravewing work for all factions.
Shadowlands Vendor Sells Past Event Rewards
Collector Ta'steld sets up shop in Oribos's Ring of Fates, just outside the Hall of Curiosities. The vendor stocks Shadowlands-themed items alongside rewards from previous Turbulent Timeways events.
The Chrono Corsair mount from the last event returns, available any week during the current run.

How Timewalking Works
Timewalking dungeons scale enemies and loot to player level automatically. Drops match what would fall from Heroic difficulty in their original expansions. Players also earn reputation with factions tied to each dungeon.
Active Timewalking weeks boost reputation gains by 50% from quests and creature kills for the featured expansion.
Players access Timewalking through the Group Finder (hotkey: "I"). Select Dungeon Finder, choose Timewalking from the "Type" dropdown, then hit "Find Group" for automatic matchmaking.
Event Runs Through Midnight's 2026 Launch Prep
Turbulent Timeways was introduced during Dragonflight as an extended alternative to standard weekly Timewalking rotations. Regular Timewalking features one expansion per week on a rotating schedule. Turbulent Timeways consolidates 10 consecutive weeks, creating sustained farming opportunities for badges, transmogs, and character progression.
The event runs through early February 2025, giving players an extended window before Midnight launches in 2026. With Patch 11.2.7 marking The War Within's final major update, Turbulent Timeways bridges the gap between expansions while players prepare characters for upcoming content.
